i just installed this game the other day and it is fully updated according to impulse. whenever i play any game i have this problem. when enemy ships are destroyed they dont always disappear. you cant click on them but you can still see their graphic. this is really annoying as they tend to add up very quickly and soon the whole gravity well is full of ships that are not really there.
