Soundcard related crash / hang in Technical Sins Forums

In the game, if the controls of the external ("breakout box") module are used then the game freezes. The cursor (still the in game cursor sprite) is active, though nothing can be selected and Windows (XP) cannot be awaked (for example with the windows key or ctrl-alt-del). A hard boot is required. It happens with changing the volume level with the external module's dial - and possibly some other things, though I haven't tried as booting up for the sake of a freeze and a hard boot isn'
