my computer uses ATIx1270, but can't seem to find it on their site, and nvidia sends me to dell support center because it says dell.support requires me too... my driver is a Standard VGA graphics adapter

yea guys thx for the help, haven't fixed it yet but it feels better knowing that it's the graphics card, I tried running w.o.w. but the error was mroe specific in saying "cannot detect graphics card" lol if only sins was that more specfic from the get go. I also uninstalled the driver from the device manager, it reinstalled at startup but no changes, same error, I went to dell solution center but it doesn't have the graphics driver listed but it did have "chipset" I installed
though i can find the device manager and uninstall the driver no problem I can't find the add/remove program, any where, i searched through control panel, and other places it might be but instead I found uninstall or change a program, but it won't list drivers or anything. so the fact that I can't find it must mean i just need to uninstall in the device manager, right?
it's been about 4 days since I installed sins but it keeps running into some problem, it simply will not run. I updated the game, I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times, and I keep getting a wait cursor for a few seconds then nothing I found that when I change the resolution in the properties a black screen comes up and then disappears and only enlarges my icons to the point I have to restart my computer I have a Inspiron 1521 vista home edition, and the hardware meet
I uninstalled it and re-installed it using impulse, same thing, but when i changed the resolution to 640x680 it came up then a split second took me back to desktop so should I change the resolution on my computer or what else shold I do?
yea it worked before perfectly
to be honest i have no anti virus software, then again i never had to worry about to many viruses as long as i didn't download anything...bad and trust me this laptop is living on borrowed time, this isn't the first game it tried screwing me over but I guess I get to learn something more about computers =P
yep it is my laptop after all ^.^ I tried running it as admin cause I have an Inspiron 1521 "vista"(great OS...not really) but didn't work as well I looked at other vista problems listed but, they were all different problems in that they could actually get to the cinematic or actual game screen. where I can only go to the launcher under program files, any help or solutions will be greatly appreciated thx ^^
no didn't work i got an error, it said Failed to add GDF to Game Explorer. ExePath: Installdir: InstallScope:2 Error: IGameExplorer VerifyAccess Failed. (The parameter is incorrect.) No idea what it means lol
yea but same thing
Ive had this game for awhile and before I had to reinstall my vista operating system it worked fine but now it won't. it allows me to install the game completly but if i run the disc, or hit "play game" the launcher dissappears and it doesn't start I got to to the data execution prevention and set it to allow sins...but it still won't run my computer doesn't crash, freeze in fact it doesn't do a single thing as if i never hit the play button so im out of clues....I also install
