im having a very similar problem... i cant get galaxy forge maps from the internet to work either

i like blackmage's idea... like in galciv 2... there were 3 ways to win. conquest---kill everything technological victory---research a super-hard-to-get-to technology that lets your race surpass the understanding of the universe (oooo *sparkle*) alliance---be everybodies friend! :)

do you mean an open-ended game where you can do lots of stuff like elderscrollsIV:oblivion? or like one where you can BE anything like SWG?

i loved the battle cruiser! and about the best abilities, i think they should be the best ONE for each ship. like the one you need to be lv 5(I think) to even get.

Now ive got another galaxy forge problem XD Whenever I make a map, and put it in the galaxy folder like i'm supposed to, the map will not appear in-game. I can't find any of the custom maps at all except the ones designed IN-GAME. I downloaded a couple of cusom maps of the web and they dont work either. Is there something i'm doing wrong?

I think I know what's wrong... I had the EXACT same problem about 2 miniutes ago. You need the have either and empty disk drive, or the sins disk in. I had some stupid audio CD in and it wouldn't run. Hope that helps :)

I recently downloaded the galaxy forge thing, available on this website, and it won't run. It says someting about a .NET framework initialization error it says it needs some net framework version 2.0.50727 Im not a computer person, so can someone help me please?

I'm pretty new to the game also, but i find it best if you try to capture the less guarded neutral planets first, then build up an army. I also like to be an ally with just one person, because with multiple allies they might make you attack other allies, making them all hate you. Try to get fighters and bombers. I personally think the bombers are way overpowered. 6 squads can take out pretty much anything except a capital rather quickly. I once had 70 of the carrier cruiser ships, and the b
