My laptop finally died. well, its still alive technically but the the hard drive needs replaced. so im thinking about building a gaming desktop. im not a huge gamer. i have sins, civ, and star trek online. Just began playing distant stars for diplomacy. so far im getting used to the change in play style. i miss my usual 2 vasari carrier caps fallowed by an egg colonizer for starts. and whats the explanation on the other races cap ships being so much more over powered? did the ai just research weapon upgrades crazy fast or are other factions just better now???

Hi everybody, thanks for checking me out. I was playing as the tec on random small against the hardest level ai. i say hardest level because i hate words with s and c..lol anyways i didnt upgrade my weapons or armor at all. late game after desolating the ai fleet (advent btw) my economy couldnt support the fleet i was building +all the boom bases i was using to keep them back. cheap i no but due to the map lay out there was no easy way to their bread basket. so i put it all on the fle

not of the original. this time my repair structures were giving off the beams. my constructor ship in the beginning.

I havent seen this happen playing against people online but recently while playing against an AI opponent (Vasari) and a few times before playing as the advent this strange thing happened. When i played as the advent the beams of my ships came of of the enemy factories and destroyed anything near them almost instantly. this time the enemies flashbeams came at my ships unflashing..lol and nothing could survive more than a few seconds except my caps near them. does

i just want more ships !!!
