I think lowering my settings will not give me much of a boost at this point. Maxxed flees, 5 opponents (presumably with max fleets as well), a enormous map and a freaking lot of fighter/bombers occupying most gravitywells. What I need is a computer which can beat Crysis on maximum setting twice over.

Hello all, First of all, apologies in advance if this issue has been raised before. Playing on larger maps with lots and lots of starbases, I notice massive slowdown due to the high population of fighers and bombers hanging around. So much in fact (Over 20 bases with on average 10 fighter/bomber wings now) that it gets a bit rediculous. Would it be possible to have an auto-launching and auto-docking feature for all bases/hangars/ships? e.g.: When no enemy entities are
Harpo, you are a king among men, thank you for helping me with the Babylon 5 map update. I will playtest it tonight, perhaps tweak the map here and there and upload the final version for download later this weak.
Working on updating my Sins Babylon 5 galaxy map for 1.16/entr 1.02. Harpo helped me getting the maps updated. Will upload them soon to the stardock website. Feel free to include the map in any B5 mod you are making, no permissions needed, just give credit where credit is due.
Thread / mod is dead?
I got this book from my mother in law. She originally bought it for her son and intended to give me the God Emperor of Dune book (as I was reading through Children of Dune at the time). When she realized I had the complete Dune series already (up to Hunters of Dune) she gave me the Saga of the Seven Suns book. From what I've read it's a good series, although I haven't progressed very far in the first book. I've read the backs of the other books in the series and I know which series I am going to
Hit and run tactic, pure and simple. Build two sizeable fleets consisting of only capital ships. If you have the resources, build two fleets each with three main battleships, 2 carriers and one support. Jump in with the first fleet starting at the left/top of the phase lane. Position the other fleet at the right/bottom of the phase lane. After 15-20 seconds, jump your first fleet back to your starting point (using Shift+R speeds things up!) and jump your second fleet in. Make sure your poin
Maybe a moon circling around the planet just outside the gravity well.
Well, no random moons, but I would like some moons in the editor. I now use Asteroids for moons in Galaxy Forge, but real moons would be nicer.
Wait... if that character never existed in the first place, we would never had that dismal movie.
I've been busy with the Galaxy Forge tool to create a custom map, but now for some reason it will not open my file anymore. Other maps it will open just fine, but when I go back to my work in progress Galaxy Forge will close itself. I'm still trying to tweak the map, and I've got considerable work ahead, so if anyone can help me out with my problem. I'll post a link with the file I am working on. It's archived, and I am editting the file which is meant for the regular sins, not for 1.1

I've been looking into the matter, the short answer is: open the Babylon 5 (Single Planet).galaxy in notepad, and at the top change the Version from 1 to 2. That should enable the map in the beta. If you are not sure about editting the file yourself, here is a download link with both the original and the map for Sins 1.1 Beta. The PC platform has been declared dead or has been accused of slowly dying for the past 10 years now. Don't believe the hype, go with what your senses tell you.
Giving this some thought. Might have an idea for balancing Shadows with the rest of the universe. Shadow Battlecrab should first be researched through the proper channels, make it the highest tier research (8 I believe), a.k.a. the equivalent of the Novalith cannon or something like that. That way you can control the cost of the craft even more. The Battlecrab itself should cost some Cap Ship crew cost, as well as a significant amount of resources, and some fleet points for goo
I've been busy creating a B5 Galaxy map, it's pretty much done. All of the B5 worlds are present, well... those shown on the map of the B5 RPG. I've tweaked out some things to allow for quick research of ice and volcanic planets (ok, I basically gave each players increased starting resources). I don't really know if the galaxy map presented in the B5 RPG (Mongoose Publishing) is canon or not, but I think it gives a fair representation of the B5 universe. Also added worlds presented in "The V

The out of the box version will do just fine. Also, I updated the map, the old download is no longer available. Check the readme files for updates. [link="http://www.megaupload.com/nl/?d=MRFTJ71J"]Babylon 5 Galaxy map v.1.1[/link]

As soon as I find a place to upload (suggestions anyone) or the file has been approved on the official SoaSE site, then yes: it will be released. The map is finally done, I've added wormhole connections as the intended 'restricted jumpnodes'. The map has been expanded beyond the B5 Galaxy map provided by mongoose publishing, and now include 'hidden' Vorlon and Shadow worlds detailed in the Vorlon and Shadow factbook (also by mongoose publishing), which means they are connected to the kn
I've been adding planets to the map today, to include the worlds that are depicted in the Vorlon and Shadow factbook, also of the B5 RPG. And I started on adding in the restricted jumproutes/wormholes for the final version. I expect to have the single starting planet version done later today, then I'll start the empires map. //Edit\\ Major revision. The map now has 38 different starting planets, which in theory enables 38 players to join in the fun. All of the major and lesser
And yet another post: I've edited out some mistakes on the map. As I was busy screen grabbing I noted a few mistakes. A Wormhole passage between two worlds was not changed back to a Phaselane. Coriana was set as a instead of a normal world, and the Drazi Homeworld of Zhabar was set as a instead of a mistakes have been cleared up. Now I've got answer about the Phaselane/Wormhole problem (see: Modding>Wormholes and Exploration> I'll start addi
