Differing game data? in Technical Sins Forums

Hi, I've just got sins of a solar empire, and before i fork out for the expansion i actually want to play the game... however for some reason when i finally find a game online i get a 'differing game data' error. And yes, I (and the other player) both had vannila v1.16. Any Solutions?

Does this game utalise a quad core, IE will all 4 cores be in use? Thinking of buying for my new rig (i hope to be building in the next few weeks). THANKS.
