Allows the viewing of a distant planet for a brief period of time and reveals production orders at Enemy planets, Frigate Factories, Capital Ship Factories & Starbases (basically you can see anything being built by clicking on the building or planet). (The duration, cooldown & AM cost are all fine I think)
If you was going into battle against an unstoppable force, what would you shout as a war cry? chak de phatte! (pick up the floorboards!)
Why cant rebels be able to adapt there ships? for example instead of a normal TEC LRF which fires missiles, why cant rebels decided to change it to either an long range artillery frigate (firing heavy shells into a battle) or completly changing it to fire beams? (like a kol ship?) making it an MRF?(medium range frigate)? Rebels have always been known to adapt into other peoples technologies, due to financial constraints and maybe due to embargos from the
How about rebels get the 'prototype of ships' while royalists get 'the actual ship'. for example, the TEC Jarvis will remain the same for rebels, while royalists get the TEC Jarvis V2! more powerful, less flaws but ultimately more expensive.
Music can define the excitement you can get from a game. good music, means more better enjoyment. Sins music at this moment is pretty average. maybe because i have played this game too much, everything sounds the same. Embargo should be able to reduce income on a planet, not take it away from the player and give it to another. People have already starting to upgrade there capital ship to Level 3, upgrade embargo to level 2 and take 70% of income away from another planet. This is the problem of carrier capital ships, there too powerful and only thing multiplayer people spam nowadays is carrier capital ships. well majority of people.
More planets, great idea. What I would also like to see happen is assigning the right home worlds to each fraction. Vasari gets volcanic, TEC gets terrain and Advent get Desert. Of course, they would need to be balanced, for example, A desert planet to a TEC player would mean more logistic slots whereas a terrain planet to an advent would mean more logistic slots etc. I would also like to see one super planet in the middle of the map, for exampl

Organizing a mod game is very time consuming, and you'll probably need to advertise it ahead of time on the forums, so I'd advise avoiding mods as well. Generally if you want to get strangers to join the game, use the following settings: All speeds on fastest setting Quickstart ena
go to game settings when in the game lobby and set everything to faster.
Thank You. =)
Why are minidumps still present within this game?!?!?!?!? Having a nice 5v5 games and after 2hrs BAM! another minidump. Its really starting to become a problem. Since the latest patch I minidump once a day now and before this patch zero!. Hawk
I think it has 'decreased' but probably only by 20%. it all depends on the situation. If there is two feeders in the middle, then this doesn't effect it, however if there is one feeder, they, depending on the circumstances, will feed the other player for envoys.
Good idea. Maybe they should do a model of a 'minidump' :D
Well, from experience, once you load the game with high level textures, while it's running if you switch to low settings, it doesn't always work out that the textures end up being low res. A habit of mine is to save, switch to low settings, exit the game, restart, reload, then continue on. Another thing is when you're seeing 50% total processing, does that mean 50% of one core or 50% of both cores together? Sins runs o
True, it would be easier but the biggest issue for this game (IMHO) has always been the weakness of the capitals. Many modders (myself included) have taken the time to work through buffing and balancing the capitals with much success. It can be done. In Distant Stars capitals are stronger. The result is now in MP games capitals last longer, help the fleet more and force the player to be more selective other then the spam capital carrier routine. [

You really think the only thing people use are carrier caps? Let me point out a few examples of some of the better players on ICO and their tendencies. 1. Auqia as TEC: Does he start with a sova?
To me personally the carrier is just about right. Its the other caps that need help. Lets give them a bit of a buff.
I agree that all capital ships need a buff, but too make it easy, I would rather nerf one capital ship then buff the other four.
I can defeat them easily, but some people can't. But the point of this topic is other capital ships are inferior as a first capital ship due to the over buffing of the carrier capital ship. There was variety before, now there isn't. [_]-BlackHawk His Majesty the Hawk
Mind the sarcasm, but let me guess what your first capital ship is, oh yes, a carrier capital ship. Sorry why not make that two carrier capital ships. [e digicons]>_>[/e] Since people moaned for carrier capital ships to be buffed, that all we ever see in online games and its starting to become annoying. Before this buff, we used to see a range of capital ships, progenator, halocyn, marza, akhan, sova, skinitra, evacuator and even the kortul as recommend first capital s
For some reason, after the game passes the 1 hr 30 minute mark, I tend to lag both in online and offline games. This is becoming an increasing frustrating problem as my Laptop is more then capable of handling this game. When lagging starts, I tend to: -Lower all graphics to minimal, no AA, Low on everything etc. -Make sure no programs is running in the background incl task manager to end task on unwanted background processors.</p
I like that fast game speed you get early on within the game. The start of the game is where I believe 80% of the time is where the winner and loser is put into place. Just adapt into it. if you can't adapt, then MR T will be coming for you.
