Non-Stardock serial number in Technical Sins Forums

Folks, I bought Sins last year before Impules was either up and running or I have forgotten what I am supposed to do with it. I'm trying to add Entrenchment, I bought it yesterday and I can't get by the front end of Impulse. It says that I haven't registered my off the shelf copy of Sins, so I type in the serial number and then it won't take it because it is not a Stardock generated serial number. I tried to update the serial and nothing happened. I have enjoyed this g
