I did a reinstall with Avira Antivir's guard disabled. All works fine now, cheers guys :D

I've got both the latest version of DirectX9 and Nvidia drivers too. A defrag of my hard drive hasn't helped much either. I'm curious to know if it's anything to do with my antivirus. Currently I'm running Avira AntiVir Personal (The free version) and Ad-Aware 2007. Do these cause any crashing problems with the game?

As I said, I registered my game and downloaded the patch, if it's any help.

Hi. I recently bought this game thinking that it should run on my PC just fine. However, whenever I play the game it crashes after 5 minutes when I'm on the tutorial. I just get a message saying: "Sins of a Solar Empire has encountered a problem and needs to close". I'm at a loss to why this is happening, my PC has more than enough power to run the game and I have patched it. My specs: Dell 9100 - Windows XP Pro SP2 Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.2GHz CPU 3GB DDR2 RAM</p
