How do you get around mines in entrenchment? in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

How do you get around mines in entrenchment? There must be some way to get rid of them because if there isn't then all one need do is put in a few orbital guns and a crap load of mines and a planet becomes untouchable.
