Ever since fall of 2008, yes, during the beta -- I have been unable to actually download & install demigod (I have the downloadable version -- not the hard copy). I installed it at first but after the next beta came out this problem occured. To be honest I didn't really care and figured it would fix itself and I had better things to do than fiddle with another bullshit problem. Sadly comes release and it's still messed up. I've downloaded it 5 times since the release and

Since there is nothing to do while dead, shopping and choosing abilities seems really nice. However buyout when dead seems like a great idea, but only if limited. Perhaps the more times you do it, the drastically more expensive it gets; this means it can be worth it for last-second base saves for a hefty price. Just make sure, if implemented, that the price is high enough that it will make even wealthy players think twice about doing it.

I still play DotA to this day and the biggest problem I have with the game is that there is little you can do to prevent random leavers. Once Demigod hits online there should be a blacklist system that will mark players as " Known Leavers " if they improperly leave too many times. The status of being a leaver can decay over time by playing through many successful games without leaving. Basically players marked as "Kn

I think Demigod should focus on not being DotA as much as possible; so far it feels almost identical besides having less features and more issues . Hopefully as Beta grows, it will become more and more unique and develop it's own feel. ...key word hopefully .

I think we should make orginized suggestion threads, where one specific suggestion per thread is posted. There is just SO MANY things to change and add that are extremely necessary, and it might be confusing for the creators if we're posting 10+ suggestions scattered about in a single topic.

One of the most annoying factors of Demigod so far was the fact that killing heroes, units, structures, etc. doesn't really tell you how much gold you're getting in a clear way. It shows a bland, white text of "___ killed ____ (+???)" when killing a hero which is sort of frustrating to see sometimes when a pop-up box with the name of a unit you've clicked on is covering it up almost entirely. I'd like to see some sort of crystal clear, but perfectly simple, visual representation of gaining go

I can deal with Rook's godly hammer slam because you can walk out of the way; but the bolder is WAAAAY overpowered. 10 second cooldown for a 5 second stun? Jesus christ. Although Rook has mana energy problems, that doesn't make up for the fact that he's still great on damage and life. However this is Beta 1 and didn't expect it to be perfectly balanced. I'm sure they will realize what they need to fix. PS:

I will need to see more characters, more skills, and bigger maps before I am willing to agree with you here. The gameplay feels slow paced as it is, without skill spamming here in Beta 1 we'd be pretty damn bored.

First Impressions: PRESENTATION ( 7 out of 10 ) The presentation was not too bad, actually; much better than I had expected for Beta 1. The title screen was great and it was very obvious and simple to get started. Chosing a Demigod felt nice, and everything about the game seemed pretty smooth so far. Starting up a new game I instantly felt at home with the 3/4th view, and

Another simple, yet extremely helpful and necessary suggestion. I'd really like a specific border for passive/active abilities (Perhaps gold for active, silver or black for passive?) or some very obvious way of telling which is which; so obvious you could tell without even reading the ability or really doing more than glancing at the icon.

I have to also agree. One of the major things I noticed about the game was the fact that creeps hurt my eyes to look at. All the creeps are tiny on the screen (this is when I'm FULLY zoomed in with 1440x900 resolution) and they all look extremely similiar. The color differences don't even feel very bold, which worsens the problem. I think that things should not only be bigger, but the color scheme should stand out more. When zoomed all the way out it's like tryin

Anything other than a team vs. team situation would be mainly for fun, since it's virtually impossible to balance characters for both team and solo games. I'd like to see a 4-way battle, though; each team supporting 3 people or so.

I highly agree. DotA has absolutely no "macromanagement aspect" and specifically refuses to change this fact because there is no hero that can build or train units; nor will there even be one. If Generals tend to make my gameplay ugly, I will resort to playing 4-player LAN games with no generals allowed; no big. Either way if Generals are more like "heroes with abilities that buff creeps" and not "heroes that have direct control over creeps" it might clean up the gameplay flow a littl

[quote who="jeffwads" reply="1" id="1863367"]Next time, read exactly what it states. Unless a dialogue box pops up asking whether you would like to repair the application, it will remove the application by default. This has nothing to do with Impulse. As for the not running part, I experienced the same thing and just hit run a few more times to get it going. Beta means beta, etc. By the way, use Impulse to remove it, not Add and Remove Programs.[/quot

Alright so. I finished downloading and "installing" demigod. Doesn't start. I try restarting and all that, and it just doesn't start. Doesn't run. Nothing. Pressing "Run" was virtually like turning a pressing a big button that was nailed to a plank in the middle of the woods. Nothing is going to happen. Then I though, "Well it doesn't work. Perhaps I'll go into Add/Remove programs and reinstall and/or repair the file?" Haha, silly me. After pressing the "Change/Remove" button, in
