Interesting strategy but there is a quicker way of crippling and anhialating ann apponent. It's called a scout rush, as in you build scouts early on and kill the enemy builders to stop him from building anything, then destroy his frigate factorie and bring in a planetary bombardment capital ship, works like a charm on small maps. Although this strategie has hight potential too if you want to torture and torment your enemy which is always fun. Nice Strat :)
(Large to Huge sized maps) Tec I suggest first two civic because there are a lot of planets so you don't have to worry about a rush just get 20 planets 30 max and settle down, the main goal of TEC in huge maps is to explode onto the map and limit the room your enemy has to move around, don't forget though that the front planets have to be totally and tightly defended as in a shit load of turrets, hangar defenses and repair bays, also the tactical logistics maxed out. (Small to Medium sized maps) TEC I would build a military and a civic station just to give you the basic defence and start your economy on the right foot. Also if there are two or more phase lanes around the planet coordinate your attack. Have the bulk of your fleet attack him head on from one phase lane and have your ally attack from the other. If there are three or more phase lanes then do what I said at thetop and from the third one attack with siege frigates his planet, that will cause him to divert his forces away from the big fight and make it easier for you to attack his main fleet. Well a good strategy is the Dunov emp ability to take out their shield and then use your LRM's with clustered warheads to attack the illums. In theory that sould work. Also it's easier to play as Vasari if the enemy has a lot of illums because their superweapon the Kostura Cannon damages everything in the Gravity Well :) But better yet you can build Novaliths and own his planet from long range. So I was sitting here and thinking, that stardock released SOASE Entrenchment which is all about LARGE scale DEFENCE. So now we have a boost in deffence making the game a whole lot harder and more interesting. But what new thing is next. I would expect it to be SOASE Assault or SOASE Invasion. That is true it would make every game unique if you have control of what arnor armaments and shields your ships have.
Very strong words and I agree that they are doable. I also like the idea of land battles as well as space battles. And the government and espionage, very tempting.

If there is going to be a second game. Would anyone like to see a new race and a lot of other different add ons to the previous races. Though there is a mod where a person has made a mod with a new race the Xin. He also added a whole bunch of addons like outposts powers ships and an entirely new class of ships TITAN class ships. Its just I always play TEC, but I dont want to neglect the other races. But when I play as Vasari or Advent I always loose. I am asking this because I want to find out which race I play best at. Man SoaSE is a great game that you can keep playing over and over again. So does anyone think that Stardock should make a sequel? Well that would be cool! Imagine a whole bunch of fetures to discover, a better graphics engine (not that its bad). So should Stardock make SoaSE 2?
