You peopel never learn. Since you say late game. Go for Kostura. and kortul egg combo. PS: By the way does the gravity warhead affect squadrons? Because if it does it makes them slow and easy prey. And make sure you mass those skirmishers and upgrade weapons.

And there is another rule where since it is a star its gravitational pull is great. When going around and away from a star your ships do in fact move much slower than usual. But when coming towards the star your ships are faster. Hope this helps.

Like stated above the EMP bomb is great for owning the guardian but a another good way to do it is use MAGNTIZE from the Dunov on an enemy ship by by bombers. The bombers are gone and the ship that got magnetized got the crash damage. If you are thinking about Vasari. Phase out hull for Marauder or the Nano Dissasembler from the mighty SPACE EGG. Good Luck.

I love the Jarrasul Evacuators Nano dissasembler. It really owns any ship in the game. What ability though needs work though I think is subvertion like for example when cast it not only should do the same thing as it does right now of slowing down build time but also like lower allegiance of the planet so you cas capture by culture.

Personally I believe the Marauder was never meant for combat it is more for fleet support like the distort gravity and phase node but also for crippling your enemy while there is combat. I do agree that subversion is nothing like embargo but it really depends on the perspective. Lets say that you attack the enemy plannet which has a whole bunch of factories. He can replenish his forces easily but If you send a couple of marauders to subvert the planet while the rest of your fleet fights the e

WTF I read this whole post and I'm just saying WTF. The Vasari maybe have weaker capital ships but they more than compensate with their frigates and cruisers. Plus lets not forget that CAPITAL SHIPS ARE FOR SUPPORT ALWAYS NOT COMBAT. The bulk of your force is frigates and cruisers and not capital ships. The vasari may have weaker capital ships in combat but they have amazing abilities. For example. The skirantra carrier has the repair cloud ability. Space egg has nano dissasembler. Devastator

Yeah I totally agree. For the diplomacy I think you should be able to plant spys on planets. They give you a view of the gravity well and they can disrupt production, syeal money, or maybe even start a rebellion where a bunch of ships just appear in the gravity well to liberate the planet. The food Idea is really great and it just adds more depth to the game. I also think (somewhat off topic) that there should be different planet types like moons which are in a planets gravity

Hi everyone who answers and reads this post. I always play as TEC but I never really liked them. I always wanted to play as Vasari but always lost and gave up on the idea. I still want to play as Vasari really badly and any detailed tips would help like. What are the first moves? Military or civilian research first? Fleet composition? First Capital Ship? Starting Technologies? Anything. Thank You. (If the advice is really helpfull +1 Karma)

The TEC could have their energy shield. The Advent a Psi Shield. The Vasari a nano shield.

Yeah they should make the Starbases double as a planetary shield generator where it is indestructible until of course the starbase is destroyed. Vasari have advantage here.(Moving Starbase)

Anyway the Jarrasul is a good ship. With its amazing powers like nano dissasembler which can destroy almost anything, the colonize ability, and the drain planet. Can a normal colonizing ship do that? No. I didn't think so.

I'm just saying this as an early game tip to never build colonizing ships because they are expensive. You do build them later on to capture the neutral extractors. Unless you are Vasari who has a giant advantage over other races by having their scout capture the extracters. (I knew I would get beaten by somebody about the colonizing ship comment)

Well I don't really have a favorite race but this is what I do for all of them in the beginning. Start building Cap Ship Factory and que up a colonizing cap ship (Akkan,Progenator,Jarrasul) Start building crystal extractor first and then the metal. Buy 100 crystal from the black market and upgrade infrastructure. (the green button menu) Build as much scouts as there are phase lanes send the scouts to auto explore While the cap

Orodum You da Bomb. I like my space egg with nanite dissasembler it eats anythin. In mid game after I colonized a nice chung of he galaxy I start to build up my deffenses and start to mmake progress on the RA which is in fact a free frig factory. I also would research all the resource and refinery technologies.

Well actualy if you want to rush you would choose TEC. They have a kick ass economy. So when you play TEC you should keep in mind that you invest in quantity not quality. But the TEC are quite fun to play as I found. Their ships look quite cool, and you get a nice challenge from playing with them.
