1.1 Update does not take? in Technical Sins Forums

Upon trying to install teh 1.1 update in Impules, it downloads all the files, goes through the install process,says it's done... then promptly tells me that there's another update for my version, which reads as 1.05! Anyone have any clue what's going on here? EDIT: the game is showing "1.1" in the bottom right-hand corner of the menu screen, so the update has obviously applied: impulse just doesn't believe it.

I just bought this game a couple days ago (and it's fantastic) - however, when I try to update to 1.05, I run into issues. Downloading the standalone installer first, I ran it, and the installer ran through to 100% - and then told me it couldn't modify some system settings because "my account doesn't have adequate priveleges" and informed me that I needed to run the update from an administrator account.
