Great story. I would read more if I had the time - I've already finished Chapter 1. Not to make a blight on such a well-written and intriguing plot line but thus far a lot of your sentences have been a little wordy and some hard to understand. Just wanted to bring that little bit up - still, I loved the story and the introduction of the Advent at the end. Wonderful writing. +1 Karma [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Thing is, at least with TEC anyways. Is the mines are only effective as a defensive strategy in numbers. I've seen whole fleets pass thru with only a couple casualties. Until you thickin the field up. I think just an effective counter would work wonders.
Just a few casualties? You should check out my thread - I lost 428 cap worth of frigates and cruisers passing through this 'harmless' minefield. I
How about an update? This is the same system today - after a few runthroughs with my own personal minelayer fleet and after teal's annoying assortment of Ruiners retaliated against me holding the system. Hey boys and girls! I'm writing to you to talk about that one thing that many of us feel uncomfortable with. It's that intimate relationship between a spikey little explosive thing and the movements of units! Now, a lot of us might be uncomfortable talking about this subject - well - don't you fret just yet cause' I won't get into all the nitty gritty details - just the things you should know. First of all, when a young and inexperienced little ship enters a new
Actually the old ship designs look like crap. Good call resketching those. I suppose they could look decent with good textures on them, but they still seem to primitive and edgy compared to the styles used now.
A race of incomprehensibly powerful sentient machine vessels not unlike The Reapers from Mass Effect. Either developed or discovered by the Vasari through their overwhelming use and experimentation of radical technologies and phase space theory. Sounds like it'll make a great expansion. [Edit] For anyone who hasn't played Mass Effect (and doesn't care about reading a spoiler), The Reapers were also capable of inf
I could be wrong but it actually looks like a coalition refinery. Sorry to rain on your parade.
