I dont have a myspace or facebook either, so I can laugh too! Hahahahhaahahahahhahaha!

I am on the Beta version now too, PM me if you want to play a game some time![e digicons]|-)[/e]
that's true, I guess it's not too smart to get my hopes up about it, just in case it's something comepletely different
As for the Third Expansion, I believe your dead on. I'm guessing a 4th race and a campaign.
Yes, I agree too, why else would they be so secretive about it?
We all knew this would happen, I just hope that other companies learn from EA's mistakes.
Yeah, I hope so, its not just the Advents scout, but its all of the races scout ships that flicker(And apparrently that other ship too).
I posted about the same thing a few days ago, no one replied though...
hmm, maybe you had pressed the ready button (The red button with a check mark)? You can't go back if you have "Greened up", you have to uncheck first
Ok, I had the EXACT same problem, but I just figured out how to do it! Here is what you do Go to to the search button and type in "Application Data", after a few seconds, your computer should find a few "App data" files. Click on the one that matches your path( C:/Documents and settingds/"Username"/local settings/application data), then go to Ironclad games then SoaSE (Mine was spelled fully, Sins of a Solar Empire)/mods And there you go! I created a sho
do you have to research starbases to build them?
To swap chat modes press tab till you hit the mode you want. Also ally chat is /a iirc but I'm not 100% sure.
well your right! I am 100% sure about it[e digicons]:)[/e]
this is what I think starbases were made for x x y &n
Planet bombing frigs are generally not worth it at all, since their combat potential is next to worthless (except for strike craft/ship bait) and they take 14 fleet supply points... EACH. In contrast, a heavy cruiser takes 10 fleet points, 12 if you're Vasari.
while there are pros and cons for each race, it seems that the Advent have a big disadvantage economically. They just dont make enough credits to make most (or at least some) of their ships and research options worth
Also, there is a little orange Scuttle button below the portrait of the building/ship you have selected.
I had no idea that tiny button was even there until today!
Since the advent are really military-minded (and because the first ship you can build, the disciple vessel, is really weak), if you want to do harmony (civilian) research, you almost have to start out with the hostility (civilian) research and getting the powerful illums. They have virtually no economy, the last game I played, I had about 10 worlds, and I had a trade port at every one of them, but I was only generating about 30cr per second! They do well attacki
I have noticed that all of the races' scouts "Flicker" in and out of existence when they are phase jumping. I just figured that you guys would like to know about this.
Getting back to the defense turrets... I think that the developers are actually adding, along with the starbases, some more turrets that are unique to each race! Here's hoping that the new turrets will be better than the ones we have now!
I had more of something like this in mind, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ringworld
lol, that would be awesome if they did something like that! They should at least make the current ring planet rings brighter, so you can see them easier, maybe a little more color as well...
Hi everyone. Question. Is there a good strategy for when you're alone/seperated from your allies? I often find myself in this kind if situation. It is a 4v4, and your allies are on one side of the system, while you are on the other and there are enemies on either side of your homeworld (Seperated by a few planets of course). I almost always lose very fast when placed as the "Odd one out". is there a good strategy to use in this kind of situation? Repl
. I would also like to see a ring world.
There is an option in the effects menu that is called "ring planets" (Or something similar to that). It creates small and faint "rings" around some planets. Not exactly the kind thing that you or I want though...
Yeah I agree with you 100% moons are needed, something always seemed odd about the fact that, in the ENTIRE system (or systems), there is not one moon orbiting a single planet Moons should be added, even if its just for added realism.
I agree with you that there needs to be more types of turrets.your idea would be good for the mid-end part of the game when there are 40-50 llums phase jumping toward your planet. I have an idea about another turret too! I think that there needs to be a turret that can orbit planets. It would circle around the planet, firing at any enemies that comes in range.
Perhaps pirates could be more likely to go after systems with large trade income and low defenses.
Yeah, wouldn't real pirates go after the trade ships to get their "loot"?
I'm sorry I cant come up with anything, could you be more specific about "Map interface" changes? Do you mean things like zooming in or out, or selecting units?
This is what I like to start out with (Advent) 1.Build Cap ship factory 2.Build 3 resouce extractors 3.Build two-three scouts (Most people prefer to build more than one scout so they can map out the system faster) 4.Build 5-10 skirmishers ( The more the better, but don't overdo it, those ships are weak, and the other races will soon be able to destroy them easily) 5.When Cap factory is done, build a Progenitor mother
