Really, I redownloaded it and it still crashes on start up like before. Do I have to redownload forge tools?
both particle forge and galaxy forge immediately crash upon opening in vista. Whats up with that?
They know, and its happening with XP as well. They put up the wrong version, should be a quick fix... I hope... [e digicons]o_O[/e]
Yes, that would explain some things... I though my .Net framework somehow got deleted! [e digicons]8C[/e]
Thank you very much! Now we can get back to work. [e digicons]|-)[/e]

No update sounds? I was hoping they would replace the cobalt sound effects and the stupid repair cruiser sound effects like they did with entrenchment... Does it really hurt anything to put them in standard sins? O-well, I'll probably end up getting entrenchment sooner or later anyways... [e digicons]:)[/e]
I know its been done in some mods, though its been beyond both my graphics editing software and skills to attempt... [e digicons]x_x[/e]
More than likely they'd just be made optional, allowing players to show off if they please, and to just stack loses if they don't! [e digicons][/e]
It is an asteroid, it can't support that many people on it, even slaves need air and food.
14 billion years is a widely accepted number in the science community. It was calculated by using some formula based on how the universe has drifted apart sense the big bang or something like that. Of course, almost any releatively large number could be the true one, but we will probably never know for sure.

Thats bizarre, is their an easy way to download the original galaxy folder. I had it backed up, but obviously its from the old sins version. Anyone else able to fix this problem by deleting/changing maps?
Hey ShadowMastiff, I was going to try to check out your latest dome/CTF mode before this happened. I'm partly glad that this is a pretty common problem though. Hopefully someone will figure it out soon. Hopefully it will be fixed farily quickly SuperWaffles. Otherwise, I hope you like your new "friends". I hadn't thought of that Astax, though I don't see where they could mess up with that. Most games crash before intro videos when something goes w
Do you mean no mods? I don't think anyone with the beta would be getting vanilla 1.14.
Sins V. 1.13 started fine, but now that I've updated it, it minidumps before the Stardock/Ironclad video begins. Were we supposed to uninstall sins for 1.14, I thought that was just for the beta. I think I may have had a mod on autoload, if that could be the source of the problem...
With the new mod system that appears to allow mods to stack comming with entrenchment, a problem crossed my mind. How many files am I going to need to convert to binary to keep my computer from taking an hour to start a large map? As I assume that the slowdown caused by text files will increase with this system (not to mention a lot of new files being present), I'd guess a lot. With that in mind, I'm asking the people who convert files often, what's the best way to convert files in large quan
Congrats on the recovery cybdevil, I hope you are able to finish your work on this epic mod. [e digicons][/e]
Someone put a 1.1 version of this mod up, if its still there a link to it is in one of the earlier pages of this thread (Not to far back though).
no balance changes? doh.
Even if they didn't, we could just mod the exact same changes on our own. Though hopefully they added the whole extras (I'm tired of the stupid repair bot noise) and balances into the update, or at least in a new one following the final lauch of entrenchment.
I'd agree that advent is better, especially if it is not a very open map and the advent only has one or two choke points to win. 20+ gaurdians and carriers with lots of illums and a few motherships (and if you're defending repair bays) mean that no matter how many ships the TEC brings in, you're not going to take enough damage to lose your fleet. The Vasari could stand a chance do to more DPS and phase missiles, but I've never had a losing encounter against a TEC fleet with a post tech and fu
OK 2 questions for those of you who have interest in the mod! 1) Should I add a time limit to DOME duels..like for exemple...factions lose their planetary shield after 30 minutes of combat..etc! 2) Should I add resource asteroids on neutral territories or keep it plain?
From my first impressions... 1. Unless alot of people have been getting games going longer than
I usually turn malice of so I can use all of my mothership's precious Antimater on shield restore, though it could be worthwhile in large fleet battles where you can do ALOT of damage in the time frame. Otherwise, I haven't noticed it to be worth while, especially as the decreased cooldown will take out your antimater that much faster.
Darn, I just downloaded the original earlier today... O-well, it looks good enough to go through the trouble. And don't worry, I'll have a list of suggestions for you before to long as well, unless you made alot of changes in this one.
So, my point is that Vasari are the only ones making them so it makes sense for them to be able to get them the quickest but the Advent are getting them from the TEC, so they should get them last, not second. Pretty much, first should be vasari, second tec and third advent.
Well, it sounds to me that the Vasari are the only ones that can make new ones, so the advent and the TEC are both really relying on t
