You might be able to work around it. Make it avaliable to all racess, but make the upgrade so expensive that no one could research it (1,000,000 credits or something). Then add a new research for the faction that you want that reduces the cost by 99%. That way, only that race that has the research would be able to do it.

If your advent, the research that makes it cheaper makes it far more worth your while. Add fully upgraded motherships colonization and you get free exploration. [e digicons][/e]

Considering defenses are getting increased in this mod, they will need to do something to keep pirates relevent. I'd create a new severity level with a much stronger pirate force when several starbases get on the map (or total defenses reach a certain level). Giving them LRM's might also help...

^Haha, I use Arrakis for deserts to (especially if they have the spice trade bonus). I also barrow Geonosis and Tatooine from starwars, though after them I can't think of any more from Sci-fi. For the rest I usually have enough names from various Sci-fi movies, games, or books.

Well, sadly I don't think either is possible. The only thing that effects the max alligence is the allure of the unity research, which as a research entity file, its effect is probably not applicable to culture centers. And I'm also pretty sure the distance penalty is hardcoded, though I wish you luck with your efforts. Anyways, the allure of the unity works with the following lines, so I'd guess any sucsess would come from here. MaxNumResearchLev

Make sure at least one planet is controled by each player, preferably make it their homeworld (otherwise starting alligence is 30% [e digicon

Okay, I'm confused about somethings already. You modded the binary files? [e digicons]:maybe:[/e] I didn't know that was possible... Anyways, if you made a mod with a lowered value for the damage, it should take effect once you activate the mod. Another thing to note is that the damage in the .entity file is not the damage that is displayed in the game, the game displays a rough damage per second, the entity file is damage per hit.

Thats odd, I find that the colored background makes it harder for me to see my ships. Maybe your monitor or some other setting is effecting this. Otherise, Kitkun's method should solve the problem.

err... well if its saying something about prevaliges, I'd guess that its something wrong on your end. Other than that, trying downloading the demo online.

Well, if you really just don't know how everything in the game works (like what all the abilities do, what research is good and what is a waste of time), I recomend doing the largest random map your computer can run easily and play it with no one but yourself. This is great as it allows you to get high tech with alot of planets and fleets at your own pace. If you want experience with defending, leave the pirates on. If you know how everything works, but your just slower

Sins is just simply an amazing strategy title. The players option's are deep, the engine is efficient, the graphics are more than sufficient, and the all important scale is unrivaled by any other RTS. The few short commings in the game have also been largely corrected by an excellent modding community. I'd say the future is bright. [e digicons][/e]

Well, are you using galaxy forge 1.1? All of the artifacts are in that one. However, your main problem is probably that the owner of the artifact is set incorrectly. Artifacts and bonuses must be set to "no owner" or otherwise they will not appear.

Make sure you gave your opponet a planet, preferably a homeworld. Otherwise, you have no enemies with planets, thus you automatically win (or lose if you have random positions on).

^ Yes, advent hangers rule, though I keep one or two turrents around the repair bay. Also, I've heard the Vasari repair bay isn't as good as the other two, so maybe you'd want to build fewer of them (I'm not a vasari player though, just a thought). I only use phase inhibitors if there is a military stalemate going on and I want to make sure when the enemy attacks my border worlds, he will not be going home easily without loses.

IQofSpam, disappointed at by Trogdor's defeat, uses his Wii controller to pull all of the Super Smash Bros. characters into the real world, hoping they can fare better. King Dedede summons half a million Goombas to join them in their fight, and they march off to avenge Trogdor. On the way, Mario teaches all of the Goomb
