I have heard its possible to designate a planet for a minor faction to spawn on, but not possible to select which minor faction appears. I suppose I should actually try it myself first however.

The Rebel Alliance is a difficult faction to play. Generally we have found that late game the Rebels can be among the most powerful factions in the game. But it is hard to get there, and that is somewhat on purpose, as we want to make the Rebels feel like the underdogs. As you can imagine, its not an easy task to make a faction feel underpowered while actually being balanced. That said, the next update on Monday will have some major changes to the Rebel early game, along with a more t

Sounds like you're reading all the right stuff. [e digicons][/e] You can find the patch notes here/on the steam forums for the latest changes. If you're interested in PVP, there ultimately isn't any substitute other than to take the plunge once you're comfortable. Human players do not fall for as many tricks as AI players, will be able to detect and punish your weaknesses more, and in general can react far better than any AI can. Zabik has some good guide

If galaxy forge is not working, you probably need an updated version of the .NET framework. Do you get any error messages when you try to open the one in the steam install directory? Galaxy Forge 3 is an older version used for pre-Rebellion Sins, and is not compatible with Rebellion.

Generally not. You basically need to know how to mod to mix major Sins mods. You can get a Kol and a Star Destroyer together in Star Wars: Interregnum .(Full disclosure, I'm one of the developers).

I hate stepping away from gaming for so long... much of what I own isn't playable anymore... but Stardock comes through. One big question is... what is up with IronClad Online... I find almost no reference to it... or Impulse. Is it still a thing? Thanks
Impulse was bought from Stardock by Gamestop. They managed to run it into
Thank you! So do you think it is worth it to buy it after it has been out so long? Any idea how long it might be until a new version comes out?
I think its definitely worth it. If you'd rather not pay the full $40 for a game that's a more advanced version of one you already have, put it on your steam wishlist and get it on the next sale. We got a new "DLC" for Rebellion, Minor Factions, maybe a year and a
Hello, I own the original game from 2008 and have not played it since about 2011. I have two primary questions. Is there a way to move the game into the Steam platform or will I always launch it and play it on its own? Is there any advantage to owning the original? I guess what I am asking is if the original is required to play the Rebellion expansion, or is that considered its own game? Is rebellion the most updated version of the game
Are pirate bases not supposed to be captured. As my fleets are dying in seconds after arriving. Any advise?
The mod only adds a few units to the pirate base, such as some defense platform, mines, and a "Pirate Captain" capitalship. This will make it a bit harder to take, but it shouldn't be a huge jump in difficulty from vanilla. What kind of fleet are you using that is getting killed? Worth noting if you c

The galaxy forge for Rebellion is located in the steam install folder. The one on this website is for older versions of Sins.
Is there an up to date unit list for the Star Wars Factions? That includes units and their abilities, etc? Got a few friends wanting to try this but they are a little lost on unit selection, a resource to direct them to would be awesome! I found this one for Ascendancy, but I think I like Interregnum a bit more. Anything we can copy? Lol <a href="http://thrawnsrevenge.com/wiki/index.php?tit

The only ships that are limited to one are titans. There is no way to give that behavior to a capitalship (at least without a lot of ability shenanigans). A faction can have up to 9 titans however, and the player must choose 1 and be unable to build any more titans until it is destroyed.

There has only ever been three races. Rebellion split each race into two subfactions, which are further specialized. Mods of course have added a ton of new races.
