In general this is a good example of why buying used PC games are a bad idea these days. Stardock at least is nice enough not to put DRM on their physical game discs (though I think they only do digital sales now), so you can always play the version of the game that came on the disc. But updates do require a valid license, and chances are the person who originally bought it still has it registered to their account. Stardock support is the only ones who might be able to help you, but I

I would try disabling engines. I did essentially this for black holes in E4X , but I'm not sure of any pull abilities that don't disable engines.

I'm not playing with my settings substantially less going to a site that supposedly contains malware.
Please read my post above. Do not download the game from Gamestop. Download it directly from Stardock.

Gamestop games is dead. Their purchase of the Impulse store in a nutshell did not work out well, and they ran it into the ground. You probably don't want to touch anything with Gamestop. Thankfully Stardock has your back, and if you registered you game, you can download the latest Original Sins/Entrenchment/Diplomacy version from the Stardock Store .

What game are you playing? Sins of a Solar Empire? If so, make sure you are getting the first few population upgrades on your planets ASAP. Most planets have a negative credit penalty until you get the first population upgrade or two. At that point the penalty is removed and you'll get tax income proportional to the population.

If you registered your game, you should be able to download the latest version of Sins from the Stardock store (since you mention a disk, I assume this is a pre-Rebellion edition). https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

If you check in the mod tab of the main menu option, if the checksum is 0, that means the game did not find any game files when you enabled the mod. Usually this is caused by a duplicate folder when you extracted the mod from its .zip file. You should have a bunch of files and folders in the folder for Sins of a Galactic Empire. E.g. It should be Mods 1.85 -> Sins of a Galactic Empire -> lots of files folders like GameInfo, Entity.manifest. If all you see is a folder, you need t

Try the map you made from the Steam directory galaxy forge without any mods. Some mods may change the galaxy to the point that maps made for the vanilla game won't work anymore. Hopefully your mod has made a custom galaxy forge tool available in this case.

This is the behavior for all titans, player and AI. Titans come back at the level they were destroyed at. They do get more expensive and take longer to build once they gain levels. The AI does not get experience faster, but harder AIs can train more capitalship levels for credits. This does not affect titans however. Chances are your AI was fighting another AI who was just feeding the titan.

You can't actually change the game speed in multiplayer, besides the usual game income speeds etc. at the start of the game. What happens in ICO multiplayer is that the game uses a lag prevention algorithm that for some reason, increases the game speed as a side effect. The greater the latency between players and the server, the worse the effect is. Typically this is very noticeable early in the game but goes back to normal as the game goes on. There isn't anything you

Go to the main menu option, mod tab, then hit the "Show Mod Path" button. This will show you the location of your mod folder, which should be in the same directory as your settings folder, even if it is in an unusual location. You may then want to make sure the folders in that directory and settings files are not set to read only. If you registered your game with Stardock, you can download the latest patched version from the <a href="https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/produc

Unfortunately multiplayer speed is a bit wonky in Sins in general. Often the game is fast at the start of the game, before gradually settling at a more normal pace. I suspect perhaps leaving it paused for a long time may do something similar. At one point it was said that this might be the result of some anti-lag algorithm, but honestly I don't understand how exactly that works.
I’ve implemented everything so that it can build a squadron, but when the squadron spawns, it is consistently spawning off of the map.
The problem is that the scout frigates do not have any hangar points set on the mesh. The 3D Models for all carrier units have points for their hangars labeled, and this is the location where newly built fighters spawn. Without this point, the game does not know where to pl
As for the referral to google... where do you think I got the ideas I did try? All google has is other people with CTD issues and no solutions as well. The only significance I can think of the thirty minute mark is that the game autosaves every 15 minutes. 30 minutes would be the second autosave. Perhaps your autosave folder is set to read only or something weird like that (though the game should make a new autosave file each time)? Perhaps you can turn off autosaves and see if that changes anything?
