Thanks for the advice harpo, but unfortunetly it still doesnt work. i recieve the same error message. I followed your advice and deleted all maps that were created before 2/20/09 (it happened to be all of them) but nothing changed. Do you have any other ideas though? and thankyou for responding so quick.

I downloaded the new beta 3 and sins version 1.14 today. I uninstalled both of the previous versions and then reinstalled sins then the beta 3 like i was supposed to. Ever since i installed the new version of both sins and the beta i can no longer use the map designer in single player in either of the two versions. When i click on Map Designer i get a runtime error that says "this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support
