ok i got that figured out thanks :) new question. how do you change the description on ships? i was looking at the gameinfo folder for the TECH carrier which i am currently working on and i want to change the description for it ingame but i have no idea how to do it. here the line i found in the tech carrier gameinfo file that looks like it has to do with the description. NameStringID "IDS_CAPITALSHIP_TECHCARRIER_NAME"
and where is the the entity manifest and count?
i am modding the TEC carrier to have an ability similar to "AbilityPsiCommand" so far i have put the new ability "AbilityPsiCommandSuper" in the CAPITALSHIP_TECHCARRIER.entity file and i have made a new AbilityPsiCommandSuper.entity for the ability and a BuffPsiCommandSuper.entity that i made for the new ability which changes how many extra strike craft made for each extra lvl. every time i launch the game in dev mode i keep getting the error "Entity Ref not found: AbilityPs
ok fine. and no my laptop doesnt need a new GPU its an alienware m15x. ill just list the damn specs gtx 770m 8GB ram 500GB ssd 2TB hdd and an i7 740m as for the lack of this engine being rebuilt/ upgraded any time soon. guess ill be moving on the the homeworld remakes and ship breakersl. not to mention x3 rebirth. if i spend all my money when those come out and sin 2 finally comes rolling ouot

rebellion has been out for over a year at this point. its time to move on it was only an expansion for the most part anyway.
i ask this becuase i simply cant play this game anymore. 1. SINGLE threaded. i got a new laptop with hyper threading i7 740qm and the performance in this game is HORRIBLE. can barely run on wrathful without it dropping to 20 FPS if not lower.(the gpu is not the problem the game runs are 13% the second it starts AKA 1 thread maxxed) sadly there is no way to turn off hyper threading on this laptop. but at any rate it is time for sins 2 to actually come out. no mor
all of this makes me want to mod the damn caps to what they should be! F*CKING EVIL! the discord is pretty good. against smaller ships. kodiaks its worthless. even 2 of them working side by side. the rapture is NOT to be underestimated. concentration aura is very useful late game when peopel are going crazy with strike craft. vertigo is is useful for messing with enemy direct firepower (aka cobalts/kodiaks/ not strike craft or abilities) and vengeance is EVIL when used correctly. overal
ive been digging the revalation for the advent. the plasma weapons are pretty powerful. for the TEC i like either the marza or i get a lvl 6 donuv for flux field with the TR titan XD. as for vasari. they ALL kick a$$. another reason to like the revalation is guidance. this is VERY useful for titans and other ships that are ability reliant.
like the title says we NEED the vasari hunter to B*TCH smack these damn vasari. the immortal fleet set up is getting really old. immortal fleet setup is as follows titan. bombers/ fighters. oversears. enjoy not being able to kill it!
how would i do some simple weapons swapping? for example. replace laser on the revalation battleship with beam weapons. also change weapon armor and hull point values?
as the title says. i want help making a super simple mod. heres what i want to do. switch weapons out on caps. for example. the revalation cruiser. instead of have plasma and laser weapons i want to put plasma and beam weapons :) same for advent SB i want to put beam weapons on it. id also want to redo DMG outputs and hull on caps. but not a biggie. jut want to swap weapons out for now :)

like the tittle says is there ANY ETA on when galaxy forge is going to be updated for the DLC? im wanting to make some more 2v2 maps for me and my buddy with the new planets.

epic way to counter maw. TL titan he micro jumps in to maw. disruption matrix. than slam the VL titan with dunovs, SUCKS magnetiz doesn't work on it. SRSLY would be epic in bomber swarms :)
ya galaxy forge needs an update.
aries4 u are forgetting something ELSE about advent eco. namely. there trade ports do double duty. the increase extractor rate AND do trade. seems damn nice to me. also vasari do have fewer numbers. all their ships (minus caps and titan) eat more fleet supply. i personally think they should MASSIVELY buff the vasari. but everything is ungodly expensive. o you want a cap? that will cost as much as a titan think 4 times stronger 6 times cost increas
all i know is my friends single GPU gtx 280 was out performing my far superior system in sins like nothing. DS mod or not also for the 800 hours of sins without mini dumping i was referring to vanilla. im almost to 1k hours know and had my 3rd mini dump with vanilla. and yes with DS mod its alot more in th way of mini dumping. but whatever im using SOA 2 mod for star trek now anyway. cant play DS with my friends made me sad :( hopefully when sins 2 happens and
