Hi there, er, no luck? Doesn't anybody know this? I couldn't find anything in the forums or guides. If anybody did help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Pantha

Hi there, I was wondering if there was a way to make the exhaust effect of a ships engines appear at the very same distance as the 3D mesh does, when zooming in (when a ship turns from an icon to a 3D model onscreen). and the very same way around when zooming out of course. If anyone happened to know this, it would be a great help. Thx Pantha
Hey, hi Syneptus, thanks for the replies, I managed to solve the issue. It was because of the 32bit 2gb boundary. The tool "Large Address Aware" did the trick for me. Anyway, it kind of occured to me after reading your
nope. I played around with some textures, but that was done creating an own mod. I didn't touch the DS directory.
Geforce GTX 260. That shouldn't be the issue. True, muzzleflashes are not cl, but if any other textures go missing (mostly planets) its always the cl. Or maybe it's just easier to notice. Sometimes it happens with skyboxes. The dev exe says something like: "Couldn't find texture skyboxwhatever.dds Are you sure it's there?" Yes I am. [e digicons]:\[/e]
Hi everyone, I'm using the distant stars mod with diplomacy. It seems to me that after a while, especially after starting a new game without restarting the program, some of the cl textures go missing. Mostly planet textures and muzzleflashes. loading screens seem to be affected too. Does anybody know why, or how I can get rid of this phenomenon? Graphics drivers are up to date, and this does not seem to happen in vanilla. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks &n
He guys, thanks so far, I'm gonna try messing with those values. It seems kind of logical. Thank You Pantha
Hi, does anyone know if I can trick the SoundMusic section of the gameinfo file into simply playing one track after another, instead of switching between tracks when the game situation changes? Or does anyone know another way of achieving this? Any help would be great. Thanks Pantha
Hey, thanks for the swift reply! This really helped, in fact it was the missing link. You basically helped me fix all the texturing issues I used to have with this game, so thank you very much. [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]k1[/e] Pantha
Hi everyone, I just searched forum, and read the texturing tut's but couldn't find an answer, so sorry if this has been asked before. If i open any .dds file in gimp (using dds plugin) it is all or mostly transparent (or black using Irfanview). I can't seem to find a way to remove this transparancy to edit the actual texture. I would love to add a shiny cockpit to my tec interceptor, thus edit the da.dds texture, but it seems to be all transparent
