If you want to fit the story into ours: I think both tec and andvent are descendants of the human race of "earth". Fact is Tec would be the one still dominating it since they exiled the advent. And in that case earth could still be one of their main planets or just massively polluted. Both explain why you never find it on maps... It's A) Too deep inside Traders space to be in the frontline and would have to be here your hw it's automaticly fortified. or B) IT'S TOTAL
