I had two AIs who initially went all out to get me from the beginning. Since I ended up with a poor start compared to them, I tried to get on the good side of the AI nearest me. Eventually, I got a cease-fire, and kept up the "good relations". I then helped this AI bash the other one, but I sort of hung back and let it do most of the really heavy lifting. By that time, the AI was offering me a Peace Treaty (which I declined of course) but we had ship and planet vision etc. In the mean time, I
I am paying money and thus not free-loading. Where the money ends up is of no consequence.
Where the money ends up matters greatly. The one that got the money in the end is the one who has to support the buyer. Since I paid SD some money, does this mean that SD must support me in my use of Adobe Photoshop? I almost never pirates away by upping the bounty on the enemy. Build up some goo defenses on target planets. Put two or three repair bays + two or three hanger defense + 5 light frigs and some LRMs and you can hold off and defeat almost any pirate raid. Usually I add in my low level caps there for them to gain exp. Pirates = Free Exp. I think over the last few games I played, I only upped the bounty on the enemy once or twice. Caveat: This is all against AI. Human players will u
The truth is, you want to play this game, you just want to get it on the cheap, or even free. I bought it because it happened to be there and because I had heard it's good. Now that I know better, I'm not even going to bother torrenting it. There are some promising games coming to the PC in January anyway.
For someone who has "given up" on this game, and says he has "returned" it to the store - he sure has lots o

If they decide to resell the game, are they 100% ready to say they'll never pick it up again? Cos if they decide to do so, they gotta go pick up a new copy
What in fuck's name is this vague "support" that everyone keeps talking about? I am not looking for "support," whatever that means, I'm looking for a patch. That said, second hand items don't seem to be much of a problem for anyone else. If I e-mail Nvidia for tech support or want to download drivers from them, they aren't going to ask me if my GPU is new or second hand, they don't care.
Getting a patch <span style="text-decoration
First, apologies for cross-posting, but no one has answered my simple question from a different thread: I must say, I don't resell games myself, so I'm curious what it means/signifies when someone decides to resell a game. Does it mean that he or she was disappointed in the game (it did not meet their expectations), or that he or she has gotten bored with it and does not want to play it - ever again? Or something else?
That makes it much less intresting especially as one cant resell the game after like with other games !
OK, I must say, I don't resell games myself, so I'm curious what it means/signifies when someone decides to resell a game. Travel between planets ("phase lanes") in Sins is actually based on a series of wormholes. Wormholes, once established, link two points in space/time, regardless of w
You know, I have a suggestion for SD, to make sure such second hand stuff doesn't happen again.. a) In Impulse (thereby requiring an Impulse login), allow the user to "transfer" a Serial No to another Impulse account. The recipient must then login to Impulse and "accept" the transfer. This should be quite secure since Impulse logins are required, and it is the current owner that must initiate it. - This helps two cases, those people who "give the game to their best friend" (re
Yes, stellar bodies do orbit around stars. But imagine that your Navigation Computer has (rightly so) done you a favour and automatically rotated your view of the planetary system as they orbit and compensated for eliptical orbits and the like. In this way, you can think of your view of the system more of as a Tactical Map as opposed to a Star Chart. IMHO.. [e digicons]:D[/e]
What, galactic domination not enough for you?
Again, if you read my post carefully, I was not saying that the way Sins is now, there is not enough targets or interesting stories to tell. SimCity has no campaign either, and they didn't do one for SimCity, SimCity 2, 3 or 4! Never needed one, and I for one love it (I've got all of them by the way..). Heck, SimCity doesn't even have MP! For Immediate Release In celebration of this unprecendented success, IronClad and StarDock announced today that they will be giving free copies of Entrenchment and the next two mini-expansions to lucky registered users. The first person to receive this is patkhoo , who said in response to hearing the good news, "I Lurve Sins!"

Congrats to IronClad and StarDock! It's a fantastic achievement well deserved, and it shows that innovation and entreprenuership is alive and well.. Little guys with big dreams can and do make it all the way! [e digicons][/e]

You have to defend it for 30 min and the AI keep sending wave of attack and the last 5 min there is like 10 capital ship. Or on another missions, you have to destroy a high lvl capital ship, or destroy all the trade port of your enemy. Anyway, there is much possibility, but ofc, all that need a background.
Well

OK, OK, enough.. there is way too much typing about how important/not-important campaign is to Sins etc. So let me try to steer this back to a reasonable track. I like SOASE because this is an excellent RTS game. The Sandbox SP mode is excellent for RTS. Like Sim City. You set your own targets. I love Sim City too. It would also be nice if the game designers gives me a (strategic?) target to achieve. A good example of this is StarCraft (which I love too). I stil
