I may not be correct but last time I built two starbase on a star's gravity well (kinda stupid :) ). I did not see any changes on the changelog about the starbase (official release of entrenchment v1.0). So, for now, I think you can put any number of starbase.

I tried getting a pirated version of Sins of a Solar Empire after a friend told me (to try it out) about the game but I got frustrated trying to look for some links that I decided to buy it. I did not regret paying for it. oh, I did regret not buying the digital download together with the retail box T_T. If only they also sell the retail box individually. From my point of view, since the time of getting Impulse software I never had a problem with it. Btw, Entrench
