Yeah, I'm surprised there is not a Mediapedia of discovered races and coordinates of their discovered home worlds, or colonies. Of if they told you here their home world is.

Okay, I spoke a little too soon. Have not played very long when I posted the above. There is a neat map logging tool. Though I do think it could add some features. - Different icons and colors. (Resource icon, Alien home/colony icon, Artifact icon. etc.) - Overlay to show stars visited vs not. - If you hover over an explored system, it will summarize what is inside. (So if you scanned several plants, it will summarize the remaining resources on those planets at

I'd like to request some features on the star map. Ability to add notes to stars. Filter to show if a star has been visited or not. On visited stars, show a little summary of what's in there. I.E. Mineral count, objects on surface, etc. I remember when playing the original SCII, I printed out the map and had a bunch on notes on the map :) Is there a place I can find a printable version of the current map? found this: h

I’d like to know how to start with each faction. I currently play almost exclusively with Science and do pretty well in each game, if I don’t win. The reason is that I know what to look for when the game start and just beeline with my set starting moves... I usually paly 4-8 player FFA, human&n

1. If I'm Science, and I buy someone out, let's say an expansive player, does all the buildings then start acting like Science buildings, mining resources from the ground? Or the other way around, if I was expansive and I buy a Science player, does his buildings stop mining the resources? 2. When you buy someone out, it seems you don't get their debt or cash. (Unless I'm mistaken) I'm wondering how the game

Thanks Sresk2!, this is very useful!!
What you need to do is pay attention to the following: - What colonies are the other players? This drives the costs.
Indczn1, could you please elabirate on this? Let's say half the palyers are one type of faction, how does each faction usually affect the market?

Man, I’m having fun playing this game, especially multiplayer! I get my butt handed to me most of the time though and one think that I find very frustrating is trying to figure out what I did wrong or what the other players did to kick my ass so easily! <span style="font-f

P/S, In my game, I gave myself the fire shard, as my races starting spell. As a result, I'm getting the pop-ups saying I research certain fire spells, like fire dart, etc. even though they do not show up in my spell book. I think they should only show up if you're playing as your new race and not just because I cast that fire shard spell. EDIT: I think you answered this in the post above.

Hey Dhuran, I just finished a game as a Necro and really enjoyed playing it. One thought, on the Necro Upgrade path, one of your first choices is "+1 to Tactical Regen" (I don't know the exact name). I think you should add something like: "+1 + (1/5 * Caster level)" That way the ability will go up as your level goes up. Also, maybe adjust that ability, or create another that also gives tactical heal to your summons. &nb

Thanks Davrovana, I'm going to give this a try in my next game. I wanted to ask you why you don't put your Mod files into a folder, but just the MOD root folder? Will it break the mod if I make a "Sorcerer" folder, something like this: MOD\Sorcerer\your files MOD\Gfx\Sorcerer Gfx Thanks.
Quoting TheSAguy14, reply 685 Channeler's Legacy: I know you said this is mainly to help the AI, but it does take away from the game that you don't worry at all about essence to found cities. You only look at food/prod. I was wondering if it would be possible to make an AI only vers
Sneak Peek (1.8.d.) - Following TheSAguy14 feedback on Vampires, I've modified the Tech Prereq to Race_Type_Dead instead of Undead Faction Strength. I've also added the "Train Vampires" Sovereign Trait to the Generic Sovereigns, meaning it will now be added to Custom Sovereigns (Male/Female). In other words, "Undead Faction Strength" will no longer be required at

First off, I love playing this darn game, but it’s getting so frustrating dealing with errors I’m getting. Now the problem I’m running into is that when I end my turn, the game stops responding. It does not crash to the desktop, but rather just stops responding and then windows asks me if I want to close the program or wait, and waiting does not help! I’m playing with the following Mods: XtraDe
@TheSAguy14 I looked at your saved game and this is just bad luck. The river next to your city goes up north into Frost Giants territory. When the Frost Giants cast their [S] Shard #Water spell, they pop a Water shard right on a river tile and said new Water Shard destroys the river. Those things might destroy a River: - [S] Shard # spells (Usually: Season 10 or less) <
