We had the same. 3 players, 1.12. It was ok for the first session, but then when resuming again, upon loading the game, two of us de-synced with the other one. The only part of the game that was in sync was the diplomacy screen, which appeared to work normally.
I recently asked a similair question on the Impulse forums as I have the game on 2 machines, one with internet and the other without, I was wondering how I could back-up the patch in order to take it to the PC with no connection. I was told to simply copy the whole installation directory onto a stick, and simply copy the lot into my Programs Folder. No installation, nothing. It works, you can even run it from a USB stick.
If that's the case then that would be ideal. I will get in touch with stardock and see what they say. Thanks very much for all your assistance. I guess I'll be back with more questions when I actually get the game!
Thanks for that. A quick question about this Impulse software- if this updates my game, (and I may have misunderstood your point), does that mean that I need to have an internet connection on the same computer that I have the game installed in order to get any further updates? Or can I install Impulse on another machine, get the patch and then install it on my games pc? Thanks for your help.
Hi. My copy of this game is arriving tomorrow- I haven't played it before and would like to get it patched to the latest version before I do. I don't have an internet connection at my home so I need to do it manually. I see there are patches available up to 1.05. Can anyone tell me if I need to install any of the earlier patches before I install 1.05?, or can I just install the game, install 1.05 and come up smiling? Thanks
