Big crater is the big round one with no defenses. I call it that because it the map is called bigcrater.cmap.
Ah, true. Antenna = BigCrater.cmap Crater = Krater.cmap In the original SR2, most maps were rather known by their cmap filenames, as the planetary battles menu didn't exist in its current form, and the old version, the ROBOTRUMBLE pseudo-cheat listed the maps by their filenames, if I understand

What you are describing as 'Big Crater' sounds rather like Antenna to me. Or maybe I am mixing the names of the maps up [e digicons]O:)[/e] . What I take for Antenna has four production bases without any defense turrets at the shore of a lake inside a crater (which has an island with said antenna in the center), and lots of factories with spots for turrets around the outer perimeter. All bases and factories are initially held by Terron (green) with small groups of incursors by you, B
Did it. In the beginning I started like Malodarom is demonstrating in his video and again lost just one or two robots while grouping them on the ship's stern. This time I took special care in correcting the placement of my bots in my assault on Keller's base. Until now, I selected a big group and ordered them directly in front of the base, then frantically tried to get one or more of them to do the capture, with or without capturing program. A thing I might h
I played some more on this mission (got it presented to me in a new game) without Titanium Alloy and trying to employ some of the tactics in Malodarom's videos. I was getting somewhere although I didn't make it. The Dynamo head certainly helps when it comes to taking control of the stern of the ship before rushing Keller's base. When I collect my robots there, I am losing just one, at most two, although now and then one gets stunned. Maybe I should modify the construction of my robots
Yes, the southernmost factory in the mountain is key. And I only took my time realizing that it isn't all that hard to capture because my first attempts to do so were exceedingly clumsy, so I gave up on that for a while. You can move your robots up the ramps from the southeast and east early. Just do it between green's waves and find a comfortable position in firing range of the southeast gate from the mountain. The robot group from the southeast should also be bolstered by one,
Hey, you dug out a post with the link on this forum that I missed!
Hopefully they are mostly english.
I checked through much of that material, and no, sorry. Most is in Russian. I found Google translation on some Russian resource useful, but for the material in that package, I'm sifting through it at home without internet connection, and I am somewhat reluctant to install unicode fonts for that machine which without access to a translator wouldn't be so helpful,
After writing my above piece I found the following source of downloadable materials for SR2: Link In the videos directory is one for the Pride of Endoria mission, among other interesting RTS maps. But all of the videos are some record speed runs of the respective maps, and the style of play used (probably by Malodarom, he posted
You are missing Space Rangers 2 , which actually is my game of the decade. Not that it actually stands a chance, if it hasn't gotten a nomination by now. You could also nominate Titan Quest which for a minority of people seems to be ahead of Diablo 2. I didn't realize D2 belongs on the list, for me it seems like it may have come out at the end-nineties, but it indeed was mid-2000. Considering that WoW is on the list,

Is there a definite progression like HORROR And how do these dominators relate to the default dominator strength when they are already set to 'hard' or 'hardboiled' in the game creati
I'm playing this game again, and this time I beat this map in the second attempt! That still had me almost howling in frustration, although I generally like the RTS portion of the game. I was using the extra armor, and even when I succeeded, it was at times a very close affair. Much of that may be due to the problems imposed by the very sluggish controls and my inefficient (for this map at least) way of using them. My usual strategy is building defensive positions except in th
Have you tried to play in full screen? Do the crashes happen there as well? I think support for windowed mode was added late and may not be as stable. It is also slow as heck on my lower end machine. I guess you stick to windowed because the native resolution of your flat screen display isn't supported? I'm in the same situation but find the scaled full screen display totally adequate. Not all monitors may handle that scaling well, though (I have a Samsung SyncMaster). And my monitor
I am a bit confused by your problem description, but here goes: Destroying a pirate ship will occasionally leave a treasure map in the debris. They generally point to an uninhabited planet where you need to deploy a mining probe or several to retrieve the treasure. I am assuming that you followed the instructions on one such map and mined the planet listed therein. Once you have done that, there is absolutely no further need for the treasure map. It has no function in wha
I think it is 'by design'. It is also true for ship hull series other than 'Rapid Housing' that the fourth level has smaller bonuses than the third. It looks like the highest tier versions are larger 'to compensate'. However, given that larger also means 'slower' in this game, it seems to be a case of questionable design to me.
I was able to install the game from disc and the update via Impulse. The game updates to version "2.02.010 German". There are also localization updates included. The crashes are gone and while the translation still has it's quirks, I would call it bearable.
Hi, if you are comfortable with the English language version, you *can* switch between languages. However, there is no configuration switch in the game or its con
Thank you for posting a strategy right after solving this mission! Personally I had completely given up on this map, but then I *do* have monumental challenges even with Mauna Roa. There was already a topic dedicated to this particular map, although no winning strategies were coming forth. The phenomenon of a stationary robot which should have a clear shot at a nearby attacker but doesn't fire I have observed on at least one other map, "Lyakusha's Residence
Uninhabitable planets can also be subject to events, transforming them into asteroid belts, inhabitable or even inhabited planets. In my very first game I had several asteroid belt events, a minor race popping up mid-game (on a formerly unihabitable planet) and an event where discovery of a precursor artifact created a mass of class 3 planets (that were no further terraformable ;). ps: I do not know whether anything of the above can happe
What's the difference between buying Endless Universe and buying the entire series including Dread Lords? Without Dread Lords, only the Dread Lords campaigns are missing? Also, I don't understand what Stardock is thinking. Dread Lords and all the expansion packs are not available for retail sale in Singapore (probably Asia as a whole), however Endless Universe and Sins of a Solar Empire are freely available in retail stores.
