Which race you think has the stronger shields? Weaker shields?
Feddys and Klingons have the toughest shields, and romulans have weakest (its cannonical, they depend less on sheilds because they use cloaking devices so much. They should have better armor than normal as well.) Dominion might have some badass sheilds as well. Cardassians strike up a good balance though, and are tough all around.
Which race y
Klingon Academy was good, and given a bad rap. Not exactly canon, but it had the feel, and the gameplay.
Finally, someone who has played the game. Hey what terrain did you do best in. I liked ateroid belts and Nebulae.

Wouldn't think it would have to do that bit, you would presumably be in weapons range when you fire up the tractor beam (unless you wanted to have that be one of its purposes.) on the other hand, it would be important to make sure that the target vessel can't turn as to ensure that using it on an undamaged target isn't just making it stand still for a fight but also hindering its ability to fight.
After some more extensive testing on the cloak, the autocastvalue on hulldamage needs to be around 0.7 or 0.8. instead of the 0.3 in the original settings I posted here. (meaning the AI will start using it when a ship has taken 70% or 80% hulldamage) Otherwise the AI keeps using it the moment its up, making frigates with the cloak super resilient. If they only use it when almost destroyed, it won't be as impacting on a battle. I've ha

IMO this should be the "advanced" shipyard. http://www.shipschematics.net/startrek/images/federation/drydock_utopia.jpg

I was gonna try doing Klingon first anyway, rather than federation (the Asari voice isn't to bad for them) and I wouldn't even bother changing the Dominion one until you are done (it really doesn't glare at you the way some do). The Klingons and Romulans are my top priority, with cardasians after them. One thing, what manner of recorder should I use, I would think you wan't it to be farely clear, correct.

Do you need voice overs for the ships. I would be willing to do some stuff for that (klingons in particular). I just ame getting a little anoyed at hearing the TEC responses coming from a klingon. (just to tell you, I have no idea how to code those in, but I wouldn't mind doing some and even getting my friends to do some) Also, do you have the Superweapons planned out yet or are you still taking sudgestions.

After playing it a while, I can say that it is deceptively balanced, for instance the dominion only has 3 ships but has them in the right power and expensiveness to balance it out. There still needs to be more Breen ships, and a better selection of in between ships as well. You might also want to look into one other problem I found, When the empires start rolling in the cash, the cardassians start having alot of pushing power because the Galor is cheep. I would recomend cheepening som
