Based on what I've seen of Mass Effect 2, and read lore wise, I think it's safe to assume that the Normandy SR-2 has a (fairly) typical Frigate appearance, being that the components are said to have been ordered and then assembled, in addition that the ship is supposed to have a more human appearance, rather than turien. For Turien frigates, I would remove the 'human' elements of the normandy (the elements that are most similar with the SR-2) and then replace them with

Ok. I'm currently lacking Diplomacy (though I do intend to get it, once I have the money) so this mod will likely be for entrenchment, for now at least. I already have an overview of the intended races up in the OP, but here's a much more detailed breakdown of the races, and their ships (and abilities if I have thought of them yet). HUMAN: -Scout role: Dartfish- a small, fast, and remarkably tough vessel. However, it posseses only the most curory armamen

whoa, I didn't think I was gone for THAT long. Well, as I said, I'm not that experienced with mods, just a few code changes on very easy codes. But again I'm willing to learn. [e digicons]^_^'[/e] Just a few things I would like to ask of those who are familiar with this, concerning modding, and if/when I do gather a mod team? How should I go about team communication and keeping track of mod versions? And aside from that, T

Ok, so I doubt very many of you know what Spelljammer is, so let me explain first. Spelljammer is, basically, DnD in space. It has sailing ships and the like all in space. What I'm wondering is if anyone would be willing to support a mod like that. (I don't know alot about modding, but I'd be willing to learn and give this one a shot if I had help.) Wow, it seems like people are at least interested, even if heated in their debate. Ok, so,

I find that the borg are far more suited to larger maps. Where it takes longer for you to reach them (or others to reach you, as the case may be). That said, when the borg were sending wave after wave of Planet Assimilators, and they kept destroying the colony but not taking it, felt distinctly borg to me.

Or, alternatively, said "Galaxy Spanning Supernova" is the root cause of the war, ala STO. If one of the major governments looks like it's going to tople, one that has had a rough history with the klingons no less, then somebody's going to move in on them. A few universal translator 'malfunctions' and you've got Galaxy War II on your hands.

I would like to point out a slight problem with the map. As the border worlds, you have alot of negative income, while the alliance has a good deal of positive income. I would at least bring the border worlds intot he positive area, its kindof hard to build the improvements nessesary to gain income if you don't have the money for it in the first place (a wonderful example of the effects of poverty BTW)

I took it from DS9 that the Tal'Shiar weren't always working with the Empire's best interests in mind. From what I understand in the STO timeline (which is likely the closest thing to canon that we'll be getting for the prime universe for some time) they didn't really do all that much after the destruction of romulus, and mostly ended up carving out yet another little kingdom led by whoever was their leader at the time. That, of coarse, is competely in keeping with the Soviet Union secret pol

I agree on the no bird beaks, thing. Instead, I think It should look something like an eagle's roost, or at least have elements of where they are often found. give it a look similar to a cliff, sharp angles, docks on an underside, probably weapons emplacements on the high edges.
Major Stress, you are an amaizing individual. I may very well have lost patience for this stuff long ago. Thank the stars your the one doing this mod and not me. I await patiently for the repaired mod, and have every confidence in you and your crew to fix things. Everybody else...lets give em a break. This has been long time in the works, and most others would have quit in frustration by now. <br

Here's what I'm thinking one could do for a (big) map. Have the Starmap be a shattered Dyson sphere, with segments inside it. At the same time, it might be possible to somehow incorporate other peices near the edge of the sphere. Possibly whole segment's (if you can get them to fit)
Quoting vp21ct, reply 7Dyson spheres can be of any size. Though, any solar system to have one would be rather devoid of planets (for obvios reasons) well, if they can build it around a sun (or several suns) they can probably either bring planets in or build around systems that already ahve planets. But I would rather have drifing planet sized components: Twisted Docking Spar: +10 Logistics Slots, +20% Trade In
