Thanks is it possible to download and update vanilla sinse to 1.16 and then apply the DS mod - or will this not work?

Please point me in the right direction - I've just reinstalled SOASE having finally got a PC that will do it justice. I updated to the latest version using Impulse. Can I now download a graphics mod (was hoping to use Bailknight's graphics) or is that not compatible with the latest version of Sins? I don't have Entrenchment.
