RammaStardock - Summary is correct when adding scifi1950's clarification/correction regarding mining starbase ranges. I would prefer to at least turn that "error: unable to place a mining station" into a "warning: range extender modules required" or something the like, provided these modules are already researched/available, but the simpler solution might be to just allow building anywhere and provide a warning "nothing in range (yet)", if warranted. You missed a last point: w

Where's the QA ... even those little things, if annoying and there's enough of them, can make people want to stop/pause playing... For example, this bugger popping up, as early as around turn #32/33 in a game with "normal" progression speeds for everything I am asked to set a speed... I can only assume it jumped out of an anomaly, insta-k

In one regard that seems even more important for multiplayer games (vs humans aware of that loophole) than those against your AI, which currently seems not focused on it... ...the current doctrines are a step backward compared to the situation before -- sadly in a way that defies common sense :-( Before: We only had the "fixed doctrines" assigned to the fewer existing ship types and all of those had the "unclassified/support" types last in t

With recent "Warlords" Expansion (game version 2.5) the new renamed "Exploration Support System" doesn't show up in the module construction list for "Mining" type starbases. Please fix it so it works again after renaming... Else Please update/clarify the description for the item or the "Starbase Com Stack" research, so we know beforehand if it is only supposed to work for certain other types of starbases...

You may consider this whining -- but in the past Stardock has set the bar that much higher ... I simply can't help it but feel a bit disappointed -- feels like a good "early access" game still over a year after first release on the Epic store -> the many simple UI-related annoying glitches that worked flawlessly in GalCiv III and are not game-breaking but so obvious... has QA started the holiday season early...? But first let me give you a big "thank you" for allowing to transfe

Same here for large single-player, playing custom race with 12+ or all other predefined races as opponents. Any official word on older savegame compatibility for v1.10? As the last of several abandoned savegames I have kept still crash predictably within the next 1-3 turns, I am very hesitant to start a new game just to find out I have wasted precious hours again on a game that I am unable to finish due to crashes... At least then I have official confirmation I shou

On top of all the other already mentioned reasons, regarding community and everything other posters said above... To make it simple -- EPIC annoys me endlessly with ad-popups on windows desktop which steam never does and so far I have zero interest in any other game on that crap-store And there is even a technical reason - the epic crap so far is the only thing on the internet I came across so far that is supposed to be set up by professionals but does not work with DNS-s

Hello everybody, ....not strictly a bug -- but IMHO at least an oversight / edge case worth discussing. Question: When/why is an enemy's resignation in a war putting me at a DISadvantage? Answer: Whenever one owns the "Opportunity Ideology" highest capability "Poaching" ("Capturing a core world you keep the governor") I would have been able to capture the remaining core worlds in a fairly short time and I would have kept all governors! ...governors that no

Hello everybody! Question: Is it a bug or is it normal / to be expected -- possibly due to damages during siege... ...that I conquered some enemy core worlds missing their "Core World Capital" and have that capital not listed as "available to build", either?

There should be at least some reasonable connection between the generated map tiles of a planet and the values listed in the corresponding popup on the main map window... At least at the moment there are cases where these don't make any sense. Best map for a research core world of several I had (multiple arctic tiles all connected as one big area, and even another "+3 research" tile connected to that) ....why ist it found on a planet labeled as "0 Technology Input"...?!

Get Autosave from Link given, just klick "Next Turn" a few times, doesn't seem to matter where ships go or what is chosen for new research. Game hangs on 2nd/3rd turn with "Unknown Civilization 6?" displayed just before the "Next Turn" button which never becomes active again...

same phenomenon here... game loads ok, can start new games, can load old savegame of the "milkyway" map (which is little bit more than 4 times the size of the standard campaign savegame file)... but trying to load an old save of the standard campaign (just 1-2 days before installing latest patch 1.2) scenario "contingency" the game is stuck at the "loading" screen (animated galaxy swirl) seemingly forever (several minutes) where the "milkyway" save loads in half a minute at wo

The base bonus for the Social Matrix building from the Altarian's technology tree is to add to research and production. Neighbor bonus works for research and production buildings, i.e. both types of buildings can be used to increase the level of the Social Matrix if build directly beside it, and likewise are able profit from it, in turn. But then, as this building seems intended to add to both, research and production, equally (at least the base & neighbor bonus works

Last night I designed a fast colonizer with a "prototype hyper drive" (it needs 1 promethium) building this ship subtracts 1 promethium from my stack of 1 for the duration of the build process. But why am I unable to put any build order using promethium (same or different ship) later in the same shipyard's queue? The engine is unable to grasp that the stack will again contain promethium later, when that ship is no longer being constructed - it prevents me from queuei

Sorry if this was known already, but I didn't see this one listed in the bugs/known issues thread - maybe most people already had researched trading before getting this so it wasn't noticed so far...? While playing terran on a large map choosing the trading bonus as my first pragmatic one (got 2 beneficial before) I noticed: Pragmatic Ideology "Traders (lvl 1)" grants a freighter but it does not grant the corresponding trade licence - so the freighter had to idle near

Somewhere around turn 160 +/-10 last night I decided to research that previously completely-ignored weapons technology - no wonder that late in the game I was told I'd need only a single turn to do so for the first step.... at the same time one of my 4 survey ships came across one of these "you get 25% of your current research" events... oh well, not that I really needed this...:-) BUT: next turn I was at only 25% done - should have been 100% ?! So is there a problem

not sure it is worth the hassle to avoid it, or if some people consider that rare circumstance a welcome "special challenge" or something like that [e digicons]O:)[/e] but as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather not have to play on a map where the pirates sit on the single choke point connecting some enclave to the remainder of the map -- i.e. the player (me, in that case) inside that enclave literally couldn't reach/harm any other player without crossing/eradicating the pira

after eradicating some AI players and the pirates as well - I noticed the last surviving AI still kept wasting money by setting bounty (at end of game I had over 20k bounty on my head (starting out from zero!) while there was no other player still alive AND no active pirate faction anymore. while I doubt that money could have made me loose that game if put to other uses, it makes the AI look needlessly stupid ...

....sorry for not replying earlier, didn't have much time & nerves for such extensive testing until these days. I already did re-install Sins Rebellion, although didn't do it the "delete/rename ClientRegistry.blob" way (i.e. just did remove entire game via steam) so I tried that, too - so far nothing helped. ...then I got out the real big hammer and uninstalled steam itself, (even including use of a registry cleaner up to the p

Annoying display bug: if I hit "b" to go to the city's build screen/mode _more than just once_ or if i hit the "next turn" button while still in the city's build screen/mode then I get stuck in the "straight top down" view mode for the entire game indefinitely (even on cloth map, so zooming in/out doesn't end it, like entering/leaving build mode another time, too), the only way to get the isometric view back is saving the game and restarting the program, loading game...
