I've re-read the lore in the instruction booklet for Sins of a Solar Empire and now want to sum up some existing ideas and the ones I mentioned before. The Advent: The rebellious Advent faction could be "the Silent". They are the ones who are not connected to the unity "naturally". Individuals who don't want to be part of the unity and use dark and obscure rituals, consuming allies to gain health and getting their abilities, draining lif

Artifacts are a great IDEA! Except they already exist.
Well, I mean artifacts similar to abandonded floating supercomputers in space. I mean not only those artifacts on planets, but more rare artifacts. When they got destroyed
Quoting Annatar11, reply 45Most moons are just chunks of rock trapped by the planet's gravity into a stable orbit In that sense, technically every planet in Sins has moons - the resource rocks If this is the case, perhaps we could petition the devs to have some of these resource rocks look like a "proper", spherical moon? @Divos- the problem with a star-killing weapon isn't so much an "I win button", as
Quoting Divos, reply 36*snip* I'm going to simply say this: There won't be star-killing cannons or astroengineering constructs or other such things. It's simple not within the engine's capabilities, and would necessitate to much of a change, that the devs have already stated will not happen. Further, a star-killing cannon is simply stupid. However, you redeem yourself with the suggestio
Lore: Well, the game is about rebellion, isn't it? So I think there should be some kind of Dark Advent as rebellious faction, just like the Chaos Space Marines or Dark Eldar in Warhammer 40k. They could use dark and mysterious rituals, like devouring allied ships to become stronger or to gain health. This isn't in the codex of the original Advent and so a great schism splits the Advent into two factions. The Vasari could split into a faction, tha
I think there should be bigger stations at all, means that you can upgrade a little starbase with modules to a very large batlle fortress. Or maybe a special home starbase for every faction. Just some suggestions. I like the the ideas above.
These are some good news! I think there should be a real Singleplayer mode and/or campaign. Demigod impresses with nice areas and awesome characters and there should be a balance between singleplayer and multiplayer. The mythological stuff is really a good base for this. The current singleplayer mode is more or less disappointing and optionally in my opinion.
Well, there is more to it in the thread. I think the murderer should be invisible, but can turn into visible. There is also a duplicate of the murderer as demigod bot, so that the other players don't pick out the missing demigod. The murderer can turn into the normal demigod mode (or maybe has to) and when there are two of the same demigods or a demigod appears from the nirvana, the player can spot the murderer.
Here are some of mine, maybe we should add the ideas to the Master List Thread...: Portal Running Gameplay: You choose a demigod and you have to fight against one demigod on each map and his minions. When you win the battle on the map you have to go through a portal and then come immediately to the next map to fight another demigod. Every
1.) Nivan, the Fallen Angel a.) Dark General; An exiled dark Seraph with demonic abilities. 2.) Omri, the Evil Bringer a.) Dark Assassin; Incarnation of death, armed with an energy scythe. 3.) Phobos, the Cosmic Horror a.) Dark Assassin; Exotic demigod, who is a silent warrior and comes from outer space. 4.) Khamos, the Forgotten God a.) Dark General; An ancient warrior,
That's a good idea in my opinion, maybe similar to the Dark Makers of Jak III mixed with the Reaper...
Really good idea, never thought of this yet... His body should be covered with some crazy future-like stuff and weapons. And when he gets defeated a time warp beams him back to the headquarter. Well I've got ideas for a good one and an evil one. The good scientist learned from the faults of "his" world. An evil scientist would make illegal timewarping to gain more power for himself and to change the past for his advantage.
I had a simillar idea in here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348710 . And an atztec-themed demigod would be very cool beside an egyptian-themed demigod.
It would be possible for Stardock to release the demigods via mods or downloadable content, so that the player decides what he wants to and to refresh the gaming experience;)
Wow, you've got really good ideas and i like the mysterious background ;)
Well, never played StarCraft yet and it was only an idea I thought about... ;)
I've got an maybe interesting idea for a new game mode. The concept is simple: You start a new game and one demidgod is selected as demigod murderer by chance. The other players wouldn't know about this, for them the demigod appears as normal demigod. But in an unseen moment the player who's selected as murderer can change into some kind of death reaper and gets invisible for the other players and now has to kill all other demigods (which then are ported back). The other players have
How about a ancient Aztec-ish Demigod or perhaps Egyptian. Like Anubis... or Quetzcoatl (however it's spelled). That would be fucking amazing. Ooh, a shiva like Goddess would also be awesome. I'm not saying do an exact replica of these Gods, I mean capture the flavor.... know what I mean?
Yeah, that would be also cool, reminds me of my suggestion of the Forgotten God... Or some creatures like from the Cthulhu-Mythos (didn't read
Yeah, maybe a snake-like god that would be a great addition, maybe cobra-like...
Yeah, I hope the game will be moddable that you can integrate larger maps, because I think there are many classic strategy gamers who want to build a base and all this stuff and the game wants to cover preferences of strategy-, action-, and roleplaying- gamers and so there could be rules, so that DotA players don't have to activate them... At last I want to add the appearance and abilities of the demigods above: Nivan: An dark armoured six winged angel (-> fallen Seraph). H
I think you've got some great ideas. There are some of mine thoughts about new demigods here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348710 . And hey, good to hear that there are more demigods coming up [e digicons][/e]
Khamos, the Forgotten God Khamos once was an ancient god of the celestial pantheon with his own armoured celestial guards. He was a mystical but also fearsome appearance and was respected by the other gods. Sometimes he appeared in the immanent world to watch for his minions in the desert. For them Khamos was like a patron saint and he helped them for eons through many wars and catastrophes. Their cities expanded and they built many monuments for Khamos. After eons and eons of wars Kh
Well, I want to hear your ideas and suggestions for the singleplayer part of Demigod. How should the gameplay be like or what about singleplayer maps? Ideas for new demigods are also welcome, here are some of mine: -As you can see on the presently maps the graphics are very cool and it's nice to watch them, there should be more large sized maps with a breathtaking view on the landscape. -A game rule to control your demigod in third - person perspective, like in Rise & Fall
I agree with you. It would be cool to see a singleplayer campaign and some more game modes. Maybe a classic strategy game mode where to build fortresses, units etc. This would make the game for more people interesting and wouldn't destroy the main concept. For singleplayer it would be great to have large maps where you have a great connected world, for example the Queen of Thornes lives in a mystical forest where you have to fight her and her minions. The background of the dif
Wow, really good ideas :D I can't play this mod because I have version 1.16 without Entrenchment, but I hope it will work with the next version ;) Is the player able to do something with the suns (i.e. colonize them, take energy from via Star Forge - like building...)?
