lol you mean like Dawn of victory or The last stand. Sins 2 will be out before they are done and then end up gathering dust, unreleased. Or getting updated to Sins 2. I dont understand how they can win 'mod of the year' without being released. Its like saying Iceage 4 wins best picture award but its not even started production yet.

I made 18 of the ships from that game. Not fully textured, i create a totally different way now so models without a texture 1st are heading for the bin.. How would you want the model file? I normally export model meshes with texture map as an OBJ file. As then i can import into various applications.

Well I have just started getting into modeling as im employed by a games company as a GUI designer. I take a fairly unorthodox way of modeling. Altho its faster than mainsteam model creation with far less polys. That ship i made is only just over 4000 polygons and it has no bump map layered on yet, with it, it looks sweet. What is the Maximum polys can a Sins model hold? If you want to me to model your ships all i need is a side view picture of the ship. A drawing that

Cool. Distant Stars is a good mod for long games. I am glad you released it and not with held it while you patch. Like Dawn of Victory and The Last Stand (both over 4 years in production). Sins 2 will probably be released before those mods are. I'll be happy to test you mod addon and offer some advice, Although I am not much of a modeler/texturer but do GUI stuff for a company that makes games. But have you noticed if an ai you sent on a mission relationship drops they say they need more incentive eventhough they should be really be locked into it (like you would of been) as there is only a few min till end of mission? i have its a pain.

Well Diplomacy is bugged to hell in my opinion. diplomatic inclination is quite stupid as its randomly suggesting motivations to peace or not. As i see it atm if i have a small fleet i have a negative relation with ai's but if i have an over powered fleet its set to 0. To me that seems backwards. Military actions is poor too as i have recieved missions to attack an ai's friend when i do i get a bad relation hit for attacking their ally and good re

They should change it as you cannot 'demand' anything, you acctually 'request'. The missions tech is also broken, as i once made a 'distant stars' map that you couldnt build and research posts but somehow the AI could still give me missions when there is no way they could of researched it.

Why not just turn the asteroids in the game to that of moons. As to be realistic you are more likely to find a moon around a planet rather than one to six hugh asteriods. Then the problem of implimenting moons into the game will be gone.

Thx for both replies[e digicons];)[/e] I would gladly join you at a later date if I have the time as my job comes first. Ive always been fond of model design and do get a taster sometimes at the studio. Although im sure you would need testers of somekind so im up for that if you are ever in need.

lol its easy to find but the reason you might not be able to find it because some folders are 'hidden'. If your on vista : computer > Os > User > (your account name) > Appdata (this is normally hidden) > Local > Ironclad Games > Sins of a Solar Empire > Mods-Entrenchment v1.03

Nope, it didnt work on my vista 64bit laptop but works fine on my 32bit desktop PC. Most programs are not compatable with vista 64bit even Photoshop CS4. I suggest getting a 32bit system as its more reliable.

8k well I guess I understand that due to no smoothing of the polys but I suppose the bump does the smoothing for you. Yeah I have the game. Its my all time best space RTS ever. Although my disc was scratched to death many moons ago. I found a torrent of the game and now i use that. CrazyJoe try and find a way to access the shipdata file as the cd version isnt corrupted and should not appear as &@~~### (computer language) stuff.
