The pirates are a tough bunch to exterminate. Great AI this time. I find them a lot more irritating than any of the three races. :)

For the Vasari, I suggest that ranks within the said race are a mere facade, whose sole purpose is to misdirect their enemies who are "genetically predisposed" to viewing strict adherence to leadership ranks as the only means to achieve anything. In truth, they treat each other equally, since their sole obsession is domination. They are unfazed whether "high ranking" officials die or get wiped out, unlike the TEC or the Advent whose strict adher
Write a novel! [e digicons]:d[/e] [e digicons]:d[/e] [e digicons]:d[/e] You have a great sensitivity to plot and suspense. I'd root for it to become a movie alternative to Star Trek or Star Wars.
There are new updates for both the retail version of Entrenchment and the original Sins on Impulse . For Entrenchment it is 2 mb, while for the original Sins it is 10 mb. What kinds of updates are these anyway? [e digicons]o_O[/e]
Would it be possible for Stardock to include in the manual tomorrow a way to burn Entrenchment into a DVD disc? Sometimes we need to reformat our PCs and it would be faster to install the game from a DVD. Stardock could find a way to make sure that no pirated copies could be made, such as the requirement that after we install Entrenchment from a DVD, it becomes a requirement that we register the product online for activation purposes. <
As of this time, it is still beta. What I have done is install the original Sins and its updates, but not Entrenchment beta, since it would be a waste of time installing the beta version when the final retail product would be released today (hopefully). Impulse automatically updates the original Sins that you installed with Entrenchment if you wish to do so. But I suggest that you wait for the final retail version before doing so.
It is officially February 25th. I hope that Entrenchment final retail gets released today. Come to think of it, it has been delayed six times, but for good cause though. We can't wait to try its final version. More power to Ironclad and Stardock!
The unique way Sins has transformed space simulation strategy gaming could be applied in any of the popular space adventures today. I'm just saying: Gene Roddenbery (Heaven bless him) or George Lucas would piss in their pants if their space battles have the look and feel of Sins of a Solar Empire. I am pretty aware that there is a group out there working on Star Trek mods for Sins. Why not Stardock go the extra mile and do it themselves? Still, if most of the profits go to the
I uninstalled Entrenchment after discovering that it worsens my gameplay with its bugs. Stick to version 1.12 and wait for Entrenchment's final release.
How about giving us the opportunity to actually be in the command deck of any one of our ships? In the heat of battle, we could decide to enter any one ship and control it from there, be it a fighter, a bomber, a frigate, etc, just like Star Trek. The interface does not have to be all that complicated.
Space ponies. Space whales. These are great ideas. Other alien life forms roaming around like pests which could get in the way accidentally of missiles or lasers, or eat away at mines, or could interfere with ship abilities, or be used as temporary shields against enemy attack would truly make the planetary systems come alive. Just get ready to upgrade your rig with a new videocard and more RAM.
My wish is that whatever MODS we want to install would be made available on Impulse, and we download them from there, and it's up to Impulse to update Sins with the MODs we have chosen. This way, the file system for all mods would be uniform and Ironclad could be given the opportunity to check them for modifications which could cause glitches to the game.
Here are some suggestions: 1. Increase cultural influence by at least 30% or more in a planetary system far away from the home planet, so that this would negate the need to create satellites, or to scuttle those that were created earlier, so that logistic slots can be used for more useful purposes. 2. I think the mini-go
After designating fleets using numbers one to nine on the keyboard, once I tap the number of the fleet, I am shown the cluster of stars where the fleet is located, and it is up to me to zoom in with the middle mouse roller and look for the specific planet where a fleet is located. Suggestion: I think it would be better that after tapping once or twice on the designated number on the keyboard, we would immediately be brought to the p
