I have been looking at some other games to hold me down while i wait for the big ones like Empire: Total War and for the actual entrenchment. Sword of the stars has sparked my intrest as well as GalCiv 2. Which would you prefer and are there any other recomendations out there. I kinda want to get the whole empire building thing in a sci-fi setting if that helps at all. Thanks for the recommensations!

I totally agree with Carbon. Also i dont understand why some ppl want to let the starbases to have the ability to phase jump, that totally defeates the puprose of this being a game of defence when the biggest defensive structure you have can be used as an offensive weapon. NO MOVING STARBASES!
I have started having a problem with the team colors in that every team is a different one and i am red. However when the game actually loads i end up being green and all the other teams are red. Has anyone else had this problem and if so knoww how to fix it?
yeah just read the book that came wit it if you got the retail version but there is also a story on this website
