I don't understand this. Even after removing Entrenchment, Sins, and Impulse, along with deleting all stardock ganes/star dock Impulse folders and registry entries I still have the same issue. I'm at a loss for a solution here, even just installing vanilla Sins gives the same result.

Is it just me or does the OP poster come off like a sterotypical "linux: everything should be open source and free at that!" elitist or what? The game is great, its far above and beyond what most RTS'es offer and if paying 10 bucks for more content is too much for you, no one is forcing you to do it. And I thought Mac users were bad /facepalm[e digicons]:waaaa:[/e]
Well I guess something went totally wrong, even after uninstalling both via Impulse, and a second time upon the same issue via Add/remove programs now even Vanilla Sins gives me the same issue, a max res of 1024x768 at 60 hrtz. System Specs are AMD6000+, 3gigs of ram, Nivida 8800 GTS with current drivers, directx 9c. Windows xp with Service Pack 3. My Samsung monitor's native resolution is 1680x1050
Ugh, thanks for the reply then. I'll try reinstalling and see if the same thing happens. Thanks again cdnred!
Haven't had a chance to actually play Entrenchment yet, but upon first loading it up, I noticed that max resolution is now capped at 1024x768 at 60hrtz. Now I know I had my settings higher in vanilla Sins, is this intentional or did my install fubar something?
Looks like I snagged the game at the right time. Still playing my first game but spent a good 3+ hours fighting it out vs 1 normal cpu and ai pirates last night and am having a blast! Best RTS I've played in a very long time. Quick question, if one were to preorder the expansion today, do they still get beta access?
Thanks for the reply, I'm gonna go ahead and digital download this badboy right now. May even try some mp after I get used to the ui and how the units work and such. In reading some posts around the forum here, its clear how devoted the devs are with all the feedback and interaction, and learning that there's more content in an expansion coming, which I had no idea about, cements my decision that the price of admission will be worth it. Thanks again Neph! Who knows, maybe
Hey folks, I have been eyeing Sins for a while now. Reading all the positive reviews and hearing about what a great game it is, I'm pretty much ready to take the plunge and purchase, I do have a couple questions I wouldn't mind some input on first though. Being primarially a singleplayer type of guy, how good is the single player experience? I realize their isn't a campaign mode, but is there anything at all in place that makes playing offline engaging enough to keep one's interest in the lon
