Everyone forgets about Magical Coin Pouch. :O Actually, in all seriousness, hear me out here. (not arguing that the pouch is ZOMG IMBA or that it's going to be the *best possible item*) Let's discuss why the pouch could be viable, if all of you don't mind a change of direction here. First : ceteris paribus, you get citadel upgrades more quickly, if only by 10%. What can this 10% mean? 10% faster gold upgrade, 10% faster priests, angels, catas, giants, etc. Can this

I'm surprised nobody said anything about John Petrucci.
If you're just starting, you're playing against people that are also just starting. You picked up the learning curve more easily. People have and will catch up to you or you will continue to improve. Either way, you're doing well. Keep it up. Either that or you're playing against AI's [e digicons][/e]
@ HR : You want #1 in a broken ladder? What pride is there in that? :x not to mention we knew beta ladder was a comp stomp fest and it's showing here as well. The only exception is/was Flurus...
I hope they straight up reset the ladder on launch. It would be very daunting to see someone with 200 wins 2 hours after the game "released" and would discourage people from playing quite easily... Not to mention this beta has losses that could be accounted for imbalances, disconnects, etc. Don't wanna see a hit to my stats because someone decided they didn't wanna play anymore. :X
I didn't really say to make it harder to grind for items, I just suggested that more should be added. And as for functionality, that's not really my choice to make... I'm just making others aware that the choice should be made by the devs. Thirdly, spam CC might be the only option for play right now, but ability use in general is quite straightforward. I suppose we're going to expect this game to have an evolution in gameplay, and adding more items is just a start.
Although I, too, am unsure as to what else can be added to increase the depth of this game (the devs say they aren't touching the C++ until after release, so we have limited options), favor items seem like a great way to start.
Wouldn't that negate the effect of teamwork? I would suggest maybe not a stun immunity but a stun *Reduction* per stun cast. Diminishingly until it indeed became an immunity, at say... 5 different stuns in 15 seconds.
As of now, the skill ceiling for DG is close to being reached. In fact, it was always so close to reach that people know what it is to be the "best" or most effective player already. All that it is now is spamming crowd control. Will we see something implemented in the future to "save" Demigod? Players are quitting simply because the same isn't competitive enough. Bugs and networking aside, gameplay is the essence of this game's success. My suggestion is to implement as many differ
Again, 90% of Pantheon games are all AI. I wouldn't necessarily base everything on the ability to kill AI. True tests come from PvP combat right now, as the AI isn't up to speed with player skill currently.
This sounds like an awesome idea. T-Up =)[e digicons][/e]
Yes. Lamely enough you are. For now at least.
It seems as though there is an actual bug with +damage on minions. With a totem of war alone, a QoT with 8 minions can solo a 15000 hp fort in a matter of 30 seconds.
Using the elo system is all fine and dandy to evaluate the AI, but there will always be bugs in AI and honestly our top 10 is flooded with people who use AI or repeatedly play the same players to get ahead in ranking. Click on the #1's name. check his games. Something is up. There should be separate rankings for playing against AI and playing against humans. Integrating them seems like a false representation of skill. I don't want someone who's pro at killing AI if I'm playing with them
I think the auto-matchmaking would make it so people with x favor play against a team with at least one player with x favor. Players with y favor will be spread about the game so that the total favor for each time would be roughly even. I suppose win % would also be a factor.
It's quanitifiable and all, but it's not really viable due to the bug. And some useful testers simply don't get karma from people.
With that being said, what are the new requirements going to be? Or just a very exclusive gamma?
It would also be cool if certain favor items gave certain aesthetic bonuses as well as statistical bonuses, so it's not just an alternate skin. I'd really love to see this implemented but I'm afraid it's probably too costly to the dev's at this point.
Still 0 karma here. I figure people just don't like me that much. xD
If light wins again, I have doubts as to the balance of Light vs. Dark Demis.
Always liking the way you transpose your gaming experience into words that I could not. =) Keep up the good work!
What it is is that Light side players are playing more than Dark side players are against AI's. Some people capitalize on the fact that these AI matches are easy favor and an easy way to help your side win the tournament. Is it really something to take pride in, though?
Is there going to be an effective method to determine whether a player played against computers or not so that we can nix the favor points earned from that match? Right now most of the top ranked players derive their favor from playing against computers. In this case, the pantheon has turned into a computer-killing contest. Rank and favor will mean nothing if they can be gained from computer opponents and used against players. Keep it separate. Perhaps favor gained from computer opponent game
And his name was Fire-Ice. I'll salute you guys if my problem is fixed. Hahaha.
Towers are put up by citadel upgrades I believe, but they are also easily solo-able by that point in time, and thus only stalls a small amount. And since you can still lock the flag, with a significant creep upgrade, those towers are dead.
