Who cares, the game isn't stable balance wise atm - doesn't matter who is better unless we are talking strictly about mirror matches.

You gotta be kidding me, the main problem is still there = huge time sink and the constant need to babysit them through every step. Fast? No Most Efficient? Yes[/quote] About as efficient as having strike craft in the area by my experience. Either way, my point stands. It's too much of a headache to deal with a gravity
There's one map I played recently, Hyperion's gate. It has 2 larger star systems and 1 small. Players start on the larger ones and there is one choke point for each of them.
I am a Vasari player mostly, and while I do agree that the ease of reaching cap labs + strip mining is very strong, I also believe the Vorastra is quite possibly the worst Titan. I would gladly have a stronger titan in exchange for a more perilous path toward a mobile empire.

Enough said.My personal preference for a possible patched in solution would be that if there are hostile mines left in a gravity well when you take the asteroid/dwarf planet/planet from the other side, that the mines either get automatically removed, or the more likely case of being added, let construction frigates clear the minefields out if there are no outstanding structur
Haven't seen it myself. Scouts are cost effective against LRMs, maybe you massed them?
Whenever I see a huge minefield, I make an equally big facepalm. It's an utter time-waster to trout around with my scouts while I slowly clear it. If I already brought the counters to mines there should not be so much micromanagement involved in the task. Not that I hate micromanagement, I love it during combat, but for such a mundane task it is quite unnecessary and a big time sink.
IMO, the stage thing is kind of redundant. Who would ever start building a titan during stage one? First off, the first stage comes too early, yes, it's cheap, but in the early game you need to maximize your research time, and making useless titan research early won't win you any early engagement or set yourself up for an economic boom. Second, you don't have the money to do it that early. Titans come later on, even if you destroy planets as VL you will never
I was thinking about preordering it but, does the beta include all races? I only play the Vasari and it wouldn't be fun for me just to play the TEC variants..
Hey, I got the original and Entranchement on Impulse, I wanted to get Diplomacy, but I also wanted to get them all on steam since that's where my library is. Is there a way to do this? Thanks
