i noticed some of the textures are gaining an extra pixel in height somewhere in the process, but i corrected them for the battleship and they still arnt showing up
I put a zip with all my textures and .mesh files on filedropper http://www.filedropper.com/brokentexturefiles its 30.7mb, the colony and carrier ships work fine, but the siege, battleship, and support battleships are not displaying their textures correctly :(
that didnt work, the ship was still black and showed no windows this time, I opened the dds in gimp to see if the red channel was messed up but this time everything was correct, I also checked the mesh file to make sure it was reading the right texture

this is whats happening when I decomposed my -da.dds for the mesh that is black in the picture I got this for the red That paneled texture should be covering most of the screen in a cross shape but for some reason it got covered
I have tried everything I can think of and I can still not figure this out, 2 out of the 5 ships I have created are working awesome, the other 3 either have really dark textures or pure black textures. I used gimp to create all the nm ds and cl texture files I added a link to my blog where I posted a screenshot the ship in the background is working fine, but the one in front of it only seems to render withought the cl texture, All the mesh files have the textures connect
I am having a problem with this too. 3 our of my 5 ships are appearing black in the game. I used gimp to make their normal maps and when I run the game in dev mode I get a texture mismatch error with their textures. Cant figure out what it is.. :(
I just wanted to post it up so that people in the future would not waste time trying to do things in newer versions of softimage :)
I was using 3.6 ascii in softimage 2012 Now im using mod tool 7.5
Hey guys, I was working on a mod for a school project and noticed something weird. I have a 64 bit desktop with windows 7 and i was running the softimage 2012 trial (working on getting an educational license). When I exported as a .xsi and tried to convert it to a .mesh, the mesh file does not recognize any of the vertex's or the material. I tried exporting using ascii version 3.5 and 3.5 with still no luck, and i made sure that nothing was selected an
i tried adding the missiles from the marza dreadnought to it and it still would not shoot ships bah!
im working on a mod for myself and was planning on posting after i finished, but im trying to get the ogrov and the other long range anti structure ships to shoot ships and not just structures so far i have tried just changing the "canOnlyTargetStructures" to FALSE and that didnt work, then i tried changing the actual weapon type and effects and that didnt work, and then i went in and edited the ability and buff entities to see if there is anything in there that was messing it up
Are you guys going to add orks as a playable race? because in the lore eldar and orks and chaos are all more pirates/raiding fleets than actual empires, but for the games sake i think it would be great to have them. orks are people too.....
