Turn too fast and the centrifugal force throws everything to either end of the ship
true, but then thats what inertial dampeners/artificial gravity is for...
if you go WAY too fast, might cause the engines and forward guns to be ripped out of the ship and flung into anything unfortunate enough to be in the way
you realise these ships are no where near big enough to accelerate that fast that quickly... they can only accelerate for the time
Inertia and safety of the crew prevent ridiculous turning rates.
inertial dampening? advanced technology we cant imagine yet? besides, im talking about rotating around the center of gravity, not neccesarily breaking momentum (if there is any to begin with). subverts your entire argument

I mean... there is no reason the ships cant spin on the spot extremely fast... in fact... i dont know why ships in Sins have to move so slow in the first place? despite what we see in the movies, there is nothing to say, with the correct piloting, a ship cant flip 180 degree in a few seconds, THEN power its main engines... at this point though, im past hoping for change, IC is rather stubborn that way... im just hoping Sins 2 will be better...

well, when i need to know how to live in a box, ill be sure to ask one of them, in the meantime, im feeling sick because of how much of a twat that guy was... i realise part of it was for humour, but then hes taking things about the movie and twisting it (very much in the same way religion does) to have a negative connotation... like the big eyes and cat nose was designed to evoke sympathy... well, no shit? also, they're pretty? in todays society, thats the way it works, if its pretty
Uhh, it's hard to explain. Let's just say that the majority of Polish people have one maxim - "Not my business". - That old man on the other side of the road has just slipped on the icy pavement and doesn't get up. Haha. Not my business. - Look, someone's stealing a car! Call the cops? Why? It's not my car. Not my business. - Oh my God! A car accident, look! I wonder if anyone's hurt. Stop and check, call an ambulance? Why, it's not me who has crashed.
While the huge turn radius is annoying, it is very important that the ship DO NOT turn before accelerating. The primary reason is that in a line of battle, the capship does not have much room to turn as there are dozens of frigates on both sides blocking the turn which could be critical if you see some cap killing hurt comming at you. I rather keep them moving while turning as it takes a while for a capship to turn 30 degerees which gives
fix more ram, free up computer
the first part makes no difference, the game can and will only use 2GB of RAM, and certain OS dont allow for more than XGB of RAM, for instance, Vista 32-bit only allows 4 GB and Vista 64 only 8GB, though regardless its the amount of ram given to programs that prevents things from working faster... as for the second, it could help, but only marginally... unfortunately there is no real way to speed things up... though

it doesnt freeze, it just takes a very long time ti unload everything from memory as far as i understand it, Windows has a maximum of 2GB RAM allocated to programs, and Sins uses about 1.8GB or so, so after every game, it has to unload all that data. this unfortunately takes a while. however its possible you game does freeze... leave it alone one day and if it doesnt get you back to the main screen, contact support@stardo

so you are saying have each ship turn to a heading that wont have it run into a fleet/mines (say 30-50 degrees) and then move, regardless of if other ships have reached similar positions, right? but then exactly as you said, ships with slower turn rates get left behind (though this would happen anyway) on a slight tangent, and i think it was mentioned elsewhere, but i seriously think capitals should be able to knock other ships out of the way when moving... that way if two fle
