You can increase the build speed and the frigate build speed, by building civ labs on tech I believe 7 for increase frigate build speed and 1 believe 1 for increase build speed

You can't download any other patches from v1.11 to v1.13 and the mods will probably will need to be updated to the latest versions

You have to get impule, just click downloads, and download and install impulse, register with a valid key, once it is confirmed, then it will auto detect what you have and it will start downloading after u click update
