I just noticed that they called version 0.85 the 'un-fun' one. That's a complete lie because I'm having a blast already.

And then, to say your upset because they "boycotted the whoe network." Well, you may have missed this, but the network hires that crackpot and gives him the space to spew his crap. Let me show you the total impact of your statemetn in terms that should be clear to you. "
Xanrel(from ARS) Sometimes I get tired of defending the pirates, but this is the sort of hypocrisy that can't be left to stand. You are implicitly claiming that your work is "art" and thus so important to the public good that it is deserving of the social contract of copyright. To then, in the same breath, proclaim that it is just "entertainment" and that the public has no legitimate need for it, well, it's an inherent contradiction. Either there exists a moral need for and
If you live in the US where Stardock happens to have its servers, then it is easy.
Thanks for agreeing that Impulse is easy to use and access updates to software all in one place. The rest of your post shows that you are either trying to pirate the game or your Internet connection is crap. In either case your problem is not with Impulse or Stardock. Call your ISP for internet problems. If you're trying to pirate the game, I have no sympathy for you.
Well, it seems Stardock hates pirates more than we deserve easy access to game updates.
You've obviously never used Impulse. Impulse = easy access to game updates

I LOVE the keyboard guide! One question though, I see that I have it registered under Impulse. If I ever lose my disc and have to reinstall it for some reason is it like Steam to where I can download it without paying twice?
I don't currently play Sins multiplayer but I play other online type games wireless on a laptop. Played WoW for 3 years, TF2, Left 4 Dead, Civ 4, others. All on the laptop through the wireless router in my house. Or sometimes even played at the library or Panera Bread wireless. Never experienced a drop in signal because of the router or laptop. Worst that would happen would be the ISP would be down for some rare reason.

There is a tendency to create several bodies for such things (UN, NATO, EU, etc), depending on relations between nations of the groups and the purpose of the groups. Sometimes allies will band under some common flag, while the enemies of an allience will often go off and form their own group(s). The
Perhaps this has been mentioned (I didn't read all the posts) but how about a Council mechanic where after a certain time or event the leaders of the various teams are elected to a ruling council that can pass laws (like prohibiting the use of planet destroying weapons...Novalith..etc). Or perhaps the council is 'just there' from the beginning and every now and then the different teams vote on a given issue. The vote changes the gameplay in minor or major ways. If you wanted you could go furt

After reading the LOTR for the 2nd or 3rd time I picked up Sword of Shannara and immediately recognized it's basically the same setup as LOTR. The world felt really small and the characters were taken
OK, perhaps I'm being a bit harsh here with Attila. I apologize for that. It's just that I've seen soooo many posts on here in the last 3 months on 'Impulse is bad', 'Impulse is DRM', 'Impulse is draconian', 'Impulse is crap' that I fail to see how these labels can be aimed at Stardock's distribution system. At EA yes, at Steam to some degree yes. But Impulse is so user-friendly it seems absolutely ridiculous that anyone would have a problem with it. If you want to use it to buy
Have you already tried updating through Impulse? 1) Download Impulse 2) Register your GCII 3) Update it
Have you contacted THQ for help? Perhaps they can supply you with a new key? Or help you get your old one?

What a baby! You don't want to keep a 20MB file on your computer that keeps your games updated, keeps them organized in one spot, is non-intrusive, allows you to install your game on ANY computer in the world without a CD, and allows you to play online multiplayer 'which is most of the fun' you get. Go cry somewhere else you big baby!
Boy, nothing gets people talking better than a good old DRM discussion.
Quit crying!!! If you don't want Impulse, don't install it. You don't need it to play Sins.
I'm in the same boat. I sometimes think my boss is trying to kill me? Does that make me happy? You'll know when you open the cover and see that your car is just like all the others. Hope this helps.
