hmm Just tried installing this game on my laptop which has much better specs than my pc, and it is doing the same thing. im not sure if this is related but spore is not starting up either on both machines to. for my game spore I click on it and nothing happens, but if I open of the process window of the task manager it will say spore is running. the odd thing is spore worked on both machines for 3 weeks before it broke on me.
I bought this game last week. installed it got a black screen at launch. updated the game to current version still get black screen at launch. did all those suggestion about setting movie to false and so on, still black screen. and yes I have sent of a request for help and its been about a week now with no reply back :( and yes my machine meets the recommended specs, and everything is up to date.
