A bit off but the Light Carrier saying "commander's on deck" sounds like "commander's a d**k" I think "hey. That's a pretty bad thing to say about the commander."

Nice demo. Thanks for sharing. The flak frig is tough and you were able to fight effectively with less fleet supply than the vasari side. Now the flak nerf threads will begin.
Battlefield... well console crap versions yep. Battlefield 2 was great... 2142 was a let down. Now they are doing 1943. Now I know the original 1942 was amazing... hopefully they do the series justice. But I am waiting for BF3 PC. Dice good luck.
I'm with you on BF 2142's screw the single player. Geez they're doing a BF 1943? Big deal. Updated graphics that will need a 2 gig graphics card with pixel shader 20.0 and all the cool equipment locked away until you rank

I was looking at my end of game logistic report and it showed my faction had 60 refineries. But this was my number of mines also.
i noticed this kind of behavior myself right from the off, but I know exactly what you mean they do choose the werdest paths.
Okay good. I guess this means I'm paying more attention now rather than the AI took a hit between v1.12 and v1.15
"we felt it would be appealing and somewhat nostalgic to the aging demographic" Ouch. I mean really. Aren't we all technically "aging" [e digicons]|-)[/e]
lol how can you get Homeworld 2 without pirating it?
amazon.com. $20. Bought mine just last year. I checked it's still available. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_vg?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=homeworld+2
When you're looking at a screen shot of Sins on a web site and you roll your mouse wheel in a vain attempt to "zoom in" for a better look.[e digicons][/e]
Another question for the community. In last night's game of Entrenchment I noticed my fleet showed a "scout" ship in it on the mouse over panel. However when I zoomed into the fleet I could not find a scout ship anywhere. I don't think I created the fleet with a scout ship by accident so I wondered if it was small glitch.
Yea, I was unable to retreat my high level caps in entranchment 1.0 I find its better to stay put and slug it otu and force the AI to retreat. Assuming things are about even. But also the AI doesn't retreat so much now, which makes the game harder, I can't manipulate them to leaving me alone with a bluff. warp in a large fleet to scare them away. No, now they stay and fight and cost me that fleet, or if I retreat them, they take my planet.
I had 2 fleets. One that was i
While I don't agree with piracy there may be a legitimate problem here with IE7 and Windows. I speak from experience with XP Home. I've had to uninstall IE7 inorder for components of the Windows OS to work properly for OTHER users on my home PC. It all works fine for me logged in but if other members of the family login they can run into scripting errors that do not allow them to run certain programs that need Internet Explorer to work properly. They are all set as admin users too.
At first i jokingly thought "suck up" [e digicons]:D[/e] but really thanks do need to be said considering the vast amount of threads that have been complaining about the beta and the delays. This game is my first 4X stratagy that I've been introduced to and I must say that it has spoiled me. I've tried looking for games like it but none exist that come close to the combination of game play, interface, ease of use (lack of DRM), graphics (my system is not to specs yet it looks aweso
I don't know if I'm just beginning to notice this or if something has recently changed in the auto scouting AI. But they seem to need more micro now. If left alone they back track into known areas when there are shorter paths into gravity wells that need exploring. I used to build two or three and turn them loose without a second thought. Now I build any where from 3 to 5 to get the system mapped.
Newell then says when they decrease the price by 75%, they are making 15% more than when they were charging at full price That's great, mister "I'm selling on my own download service, so every dollar of my games sold is pure profit." If you were selling in stores, or even on someone else's service, there'd be fixed costs involved.
I believe this is the only way to fight piracy. If you pirate a game you do
Discussion question: Does it make sense that higher tech units should be "slightly OP" over lower tech units? Let some of the smarter people answer here. Tell me how I'm right or wrong. Poll question: Should carriers be left alone for the time being? Should a "truce" be declared on any potential nerfs until a good deal more thought has gone into the matter?
Higher tech should be OP to low tech. I would like to look at leaving the carriers powered as is b
For this reason, spamming only fighters will not let you win a battle in most situations as you get air superiority and then have to take out the enemy carriers with fighters - it doesn't work. You need a balanced fleet. HCs are a great counter for carrier spam. Yes you have to tech up to it, but it IS effective.
Would it be better to think about moving the LC up the tech tree instead? Perhaps in between command and HC? The command cruiser would augment a balanced fleet
Also, Sova is not a piece of junk, not by a longshot. As I've said in other threads, Embargo is one of the game's most powerful abilities. It doesn't help you win a battle, but used frequently and against the right target, it gives you a substantial economic edge that lets you win the war.
But Embargo will also lock down a gravity well from building anything at level 3. So if it has a frigate factory or Cap ship factory it's SOL and won't be able to reenforce. Also the
Oh for sure. PJIs by them selves work wonders against Advent hosts. Stick them like fly paper and hose them down.
Thanks for the stratagy guide. I just want to throw my hat in the ring to ask the devs... please do not nerf the carriers. Thank you.
I usually use the Point Blank map to do any of these achievements. Build the most powerful cap, level it up, then rush the other homeworld. Micro the attack to kill the frigate builder, then the cap ship, then the cap ship builder. ASAP do the crew research and build a second cap and send it over.
