Actually there is a way to select resources Goafan. It's at the bottom of the search list. Go up to the top left and you'll see three buttons. Click the longer middle one and thats search. Resources at the bottom.

I've been going over things that would be nice to use the search buttons on. I dont use all the search buttons so I want to switch them out for something different. One thing is a search button for refinaries/trade ports for when I'm playing advent. Another is a button for the super weapons. I'd want to be able to fire them all at once at something.
ah, alright. Well, I came up with two ideas in the meantime. One is to have a ship that can take experience from a capital (big maybe not on that) and transfer it to another capital. Otherwise ship or building with costly ability to train capital ships (give them experience)
I understand having a larger fleet. But I mostly like using my capital ships. Most of the time I hardly build any frigates and mostly use capitals. Basically unless I allow for research to continuously buy your way up to level to the only other way is to slowly gain levels from your own fleet.
For one I'd just reset your entire computer cause something in it sounds messed up.
I'm wondering how to get the game to target something owned by yourself. I'm trying to make ships or buildings that my capital ships can attack so they can gain more experience. Not cheating to some degree since I am going to make these structures cost abit. Anyways I've been trying to figure this out and still getting from the game that I cannot target my own units.
Ok, but can't the two be used together to create a similar effect?
[quote who="SpardaSon21" reply="1" id="2543635"]Sorry, but I don't think this is possible. It is possible to increase maximum allegiance through research, but that applies to all planets in your empire. Also, Sins has no random events such as rebellions, it is a straight RTS in that regard. And I don't think its possible for the loss of a planet to cause other planets to lose allegiance. If you want a game with a system where you have to keep your people happy and
Wow, I'll be checking in on this. I dont have 3dsmax since I'm cheap and use blender, so this would be helpful to some of the mods I want to make.
I'm an old modder for other games like Oblivion or Final Fantasy 7 even virtual spaces like Second Life. But new modder to Sins. I'm going over a few ideas I've been writing down about mods I'd like to do. I mainly wanted to do these mods to create new strategy to multiplayer games that I have with my dad and friends. Well, the idea that keeps popping out is having a governments based mod. Basically its main two features are about culture level and controlling rebellion. If you cannot control
Currently downloading this. Excited about coming update. All the good mods have been disappearing T_T
The current one is missing alot of stuff. New planetary bonuses and artifacts for example.
Neat idea. But yeah, probably for the best since usually I did very well with that strategy although it sucked on my resources.
Ok, remember in starcraft specifically (I know I did this in other games, somewhat in AOE, but starcraft is best example) where you could grab an enemy builder unit and run them back to your base to start building enemy race buildings, troops, etc. That's one thing that would be awesome to do in sins of a solar empire. So far I've only found Domination for the rapture battle cruiser (Will add more as I look at list and find them) to be able to grab frigates. Which doesnt amount to much. What
