and placing turret all around the planet make your defenses weak everywhere if the ennemy concentrate his attack, i prefer to put them all at the same spot where i think the ennemy will show up... so if he does, its gotta hurt. after a while, i found that having only fighter in a hangar is better than a mix of F/B; turrets fight ships while your fighters kills ennemy bombers so your turrets live a bit longer.
Twadrules
in the 6 times i tried to play online with my friend, they all ended up with the desync problem.
for some reason, i didnt do anything about it, it decided that it worked now.
i would like the option to disable access to superweapons while in the game creation screen... sometime i want to fight a fleet battle, not interstellar-sniping. And yes, the advent superweapon is pretty much a joke, its more like a cumbersome utility tool at best (with cultural vision, and making a system buff your fleet for a time), it doesnt win games. it would be nicer if planet alegiance would get a sudden drop of like 25% plus the current effect.. (so weak places drop on the spo
when selected it shows two different rows of value for armor, and two different values for HP on the same bar.. look like this: trader - 625/825. armor 3, armor 5. at first i beleived that the hp would regenerate.. but it doesnt..
...clear penalty for not defending carriers? That would be arbitrary. Dont defend them and you lose the big ammount of time, research, money and supplies needed to get them up and running. I dont see any problem with carriers.
i don't have the expansion so im more or less going in blindly here.. but maybe mines could be shot with any sort of gunfire? Mines are merely an additional delaying/area interdiction tactic in most games i play that have them... Flak frigates could be very good at taking mines down. if mines can be shot, the defender could use mines as some sort of meatshield, if shot the mines are eating up damage that would have hurt the defender's fleet, and if ignored they can hurt the en
i reallly like the ability of the advent to see inside a system that your culture dominates, very usefull. And their super-cultural-cannon does just that, it doesnt change allegiance directly... when shot, look at the lines turn to your color at an insane speed. Good to get recon information many systems away.
Yeah i had figured that out, but it seems more effective when there are more players biiding against eachother, in a 1v1 its more about controlling the pirates. Now the different warnings about change in bounty make sense. Right there i had one heck of an epic fight againts pirates, i was constantly paying them to attack my opponent, but he was so weak (easy level, im still learning the game) that their numbers were always increasing.. when i noticed that and i got the needed fo
Ooooh.. that does explain several.. actually, many things.. thank you!
also, if possible, some explanation on the link between pirates and the bounty system.. iirc the higher it is, the stronger the pirates gets.
Hello all, me and my friend were wondering how does the bounty system works.. because so far, we often see changes in the "cash" ammount on the different players.. going down, or getting messages that they change.. but we dont know what and why it is happening. Also, there is the colored "bars" under our picture saying stuff like "low" and "guarded".. again, what does it mean? Somewhere i think i saw in the game that killing ships would change the bounty.. but i n
but the number of squadrons even it out in the end. 6 tp foe 3 squads when the others have 4 tp for 2 squads... do the maths. I like hangar defense because the ennemy cannot just 'avoid' them, the fighters hunt them down.
i thinks it might be a problem if the solution to the problem is just to make more of the same.. carriers are expansive, its counter arent.
it worked! Thanks all!
certainly hope they fix it.. i got that game (instead of GC2) for the sole reason it was multiplayer so i could play with my buddy..
So far, i looked up the commands and some stuff.. and i didnt find anything that allows us to remove useless/unwanted buildings that we made.. like its set in stone.. unless an ennemy kills it for us. So.. how can we do it? Is it possible? Cuz if we cant.. a simple mistake can basically lock you down on your planet forever.
Galaxy forge, when it starts, immediately give me a message that the program "uses arial style, but does not support 'standart' format.. wanna quit or continue?" , and the program is just a blank screen with a big red X on it... and of course, it doesnt work. Weird bug. Strange thing is, not so long ago, i tried the program and it worked fine.. Any solution?
