Hmm, is there any mod's that perhaps does what I'm talking about? Something like that wouldn't be considered cheating would it?

I've been playing this game for a little while and one thing that keeps annoying me is I can't figure out if there's an easy way to quickly tell what type of ships the enemy is sending at me. I mean I can get the name of the ship (like "Pirate Cutthroat") pretty easily but what I want to know is what type of ship it is. Like is it a Light Frigate, a Scout Frigate, an Assault Frigate, or a Siege Frigate? Is there some other quick way of telling this information short of
